Outside My Window

Greetings Readers

The mornings are most definitely colder. I have only ridden with long pants for two days out of the past two weeks. I am not ready to relinquish my bike shorts. I still want to show off my taunt thighs and heart shaped calves. Oh yes. What was that phrase I heard - If you got it, flaunt it. You women know this pretty well, I think. Believe me I notice what you flaunt if you have it. Unless I strain myself trying to figure out if you have it, but are not flaunting it. Yes, yes I know that is not right, but sometime I can not help myself.

Gosh. I am already getting sidetracked. I have started to wear my long sleeve running jersey underneath my bike jerseys. I have not seen the "hot breath" from the cold air yet, but give Colorado another two weeks or so and pretty soon I will see that little wisp of hot air coming from my mouth. My bike gloves are okay. I am going to have to get my autumn and winter bikes ready and put all other bikes away for storage since spring and summer are almost over. Yes readers I am that analytical about my bikes and yes I even have choices on what bikes, plural, that I can ride and when. I do not believe in the one bike for a purposes mentality.

Yet, I am a one-woman guy. Go figure out that conundrum.

I worked out at the CAC last night, but I did a quick hour and three-quarter workout. I couldn't stay long last night so I sort of rushed myself through the workout.

Cycling news - Floyd Landis and his "innocence" will be determined within the next week. I had heard that we could learn the fate of him on Thursday, but someone had stated that there are 10 days for the committee to make a decision. And should Floyd not like that decision then he can file to the CAS (I think). What? I think he is guilty. I have my reasons, but I am not going to relate them to you readers until the case is officially over. Unless, I mentioned them in the past since the incident happened.

Tiesto - You readers may know that this is the only really person that I listen to while riding. He has the 6th edition of the In Search of Sunrise - Ibiza (ISOS 6) is coming out in a few days or so. You bet that I am going to get this CD. Of course, I will have to eliminate more songs from my Pink Ipod to accommodate the ones I will have to load up. I never even dreamed that 4GB would not be enough storage for me.

And getting to the title of the post. In the past week I have noticed that the tree is starting to turn yellow on one side and slowly spreading to the entire tree. Also, a dead leaf fell, blew right in front of me while on my balcony. The Fall season has made its presence known and I/we have to say goodbye to the summer of 2007.

Prison Break - I guess it was okay, but I went into the show for this new season being very skeptical about where the show is going and what is going to happen. So, I saw what I wanted to see and made that the issue of pointing out this and that. There may have been some good things, but I would have to re-watch the episode. I mean, come on, the guy breaking out of prison. He has not ate but managed to kick out the metal screen, drop a few feet, and sort of run. But, then the camera pans to Michael and Bellick and they both have this "surprised" and "Oh my gosh" look on their faces like this was something unexpected. Pul-lease. Then Michael fighting that one guy. The "punches" he acted were not even real. We viewers saw a Michael throwing the punch, but then as the connected hit would happen the camera changes view and then the next scene shows the other acting like he got hit. It was too obvious for me to notice. I will stop, but that was only the tip of what I noticed. I do not want to ruin the experience for you viewers. I will try and change my view next week and give the show a chance once more.

Until the next time

A Season Finale and Premiere

Greetings People

Prison Break was kind of "hokey", but granted I was uable to watch the entire episode due to me being on the phone. So, I was watching, but I have no clue what was going on and I could not even guess was going on. So, I have to watch the episode, but I just do not know.

I mean I guess it was the dialogue and then what was the topper was when Sarah and Michael finally got together at the boat. I expected some kissing, hard hugs. but no! All we watchers got was a "friend" hug and not even a peck on the lips/cheeks. I mean Come on. We faithful readers all saw that Michael got all emotional over Sarah a couple episodes back and even got into a fight with his brother. So, I expected something more that just a hug. Oh well. Then of course when Sucre finally met up with Bellick as he was being taken away. Sucre falls to the ground, mine you, in front of the Policia since we see Bellick being pushed into the truck. But Sucre is not that dense to do that. He would at least not make a scene in front of the Panama Police station. I do not know. Finally, Michael, Mahone, Bellick and Teddy are all in jail in Panama and that is how season two ends. It was so, in my humble opinion, stupid.

Now, on the other hand - the Riches was great. This is the fourth episode and the episodes keep getting better and better. Just when you think one problem has been averted another one "pops" up. Given the show's topic - these new situation do coincide with the story. The previews for next week's episode looked good and I am now trying to figure out how "Doug" is going to solve this situation.

Colorado Rockies lost their Opening Game against the Diamondbacks.

Now, tonight is the Premiere of the Deadliest Catch - Season Three. Oh, I am so excited, but I have heard that there was already tragedy before the commercials announced it. I just hope it was not very bad. I also hope it was not to someone I have grown to know through the show. This show is incredible and I even turned my mother and father onto this show.

Alright readers time for me to go. I have registered with www.myfoxcolorado.com and I guess I will see what I am going to do with that. By no means will I start to regularly blog to that site. Mainly, I "lose" rights to my blogs I post there. So, I will have to be careful. I used the "Stolen" dog blog to see what sort or response I will get on that. Nothing big, but I did have to edit the blog.

Vince McMahon lost on Wrestlemania and he is bald like the late Telly Salavas.

Tuesday with Mr Charley

Greetings People

I saw, perhaps, my new bike that I might buy this week. After seeing the price, plus the sales tax for that area, I have calculated the cost to be $ 1,386.03 It really is not a bad deal for last year's model. The new models are on the way and they need to clear out the "old" stock. She is black, some carbon, Ultegra componets, Easton rims. I guess I have a lot to think about.

I finally bought a CD by Wagner with "Ride of the Valkyeres" Pretty Cool

Prison Break was okay. Not bad, but not very interesting. Although there is Michael in Panama and he is standing outside the hotel where "Teddy" is staying. He is trying to be inconspicuous by hiding behind a pillar or plant (I can not remember) and he is wearing a dark blue hoodie. Get the f--- out of here! He is Panama, which I am sure that the weather is quite warm. Also, in the scene of the show - there are people in pastels, whites, shorts, "cabana" wear and then you have Michael in a dark blue hoodie with only his face showing trying to be inconspicuous. Sorry the scene just does not work. Hah hah.

Woo-hoo! Yes, I won the Amazing Race bet and my team I chose to lose lost! Woo hoo! That was so great. I won my coke back (I lost weeks ago). Sure was delicious to drink. You know readers a free coke tastes much better than a coke you bought.

The name of the bull that I named is "Say Boo-yah!" Not too good, but at least I stayed away from using any weather words, alcohol words, including "slinger" in the name, or having any color reference in the name. There were some fictitious names I would would liked to use, but I am not sure that would infringe upon copyrighted material.

I did not get to see Lily this morning - nope, not not on the episode this morning.

2007 Spring Vernal Equinox - 6:07 PM

Greetings Readers

I thought about calling this blog "Respect in Lonetree", but alas I decided to go with something a little less "Stuck up"

In the past, before the big winter storms hit back to back to back, I have a couple of stops that I make in the morning while going to work. Usually their deal and/or prices are better than buying at work from the vending machine.

So, I headed into the local 7-11 got my litre of Coca-Cola and headed to the counter. I could not help noticing the girl that I know. Well, loosely know. I know of her and she knows of me but only in my previous morning stops from last year. I headed to her register and got checked out by her. No readers I do not mean "checked out", but ringed up at the register. She said "Gosh I have not seen you in a long time" I said "yeah because of the ice and snow that I have not been biking" She laughed lightly and smiled at me. I of course smiled right back. Of course readers, I smiled for all it was worth. Why? Well - recognition baby! As you can see I have a positive effect on people and not always the negative effect nor do I always get the "oh shit. Not this guy again." LOL. I do "touch" people in some ways that are positive and when I can bring a smile to their face or at least get them to talk more than just a customer. Well, that's a bonus for both of us. No, that does not mean I want to sleep with her. Or any of other women I know at different places. Although there is this one King Soopers employee that I know, and trying to get to know, but I still can not get the "read" on her. I digress once more.

Have you readers seen that new show that just started on FX? "The Riches" with Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver. I think it is a pretty interesting show so far. Only two episodes have been shown, but I think that the show's concept is good. The concept is believable to a certain extent. Yet, while watching the show I was actually thinking about the possible questions I would raise as the show goes further into its run. Again I was already analyzing the show. Yet what has intrigued me is the "problems" that the family has or yet to come. Whether to them personally or someone else. The picture in this blog entry is of "the house". P.S - there is a character from the other FX Show - It Always sunny in Philadelphia - that has shown up in episode 2 of the Riches.

Prison Break was a dud - I understand the "need" for all the cast members in the show to perhaps get together, but it does not make sense. I mean for almost 7/8 of the season all these cast members (who are still alive) have had their own plot lines and may have intertwined with some of the others, but largely have kept apart. Then, Michael getting all emotional about Sarah - I mean "come on". Then Michael saying there is only one thing to do "Run". Again - "Come on" - they have been running since the first season's last episode. Anyway, two episodes left.
Sorry readers about the "Come on", but if you true SP fans know why I quoted this then you know why it so fit this paragraph. And this is not the L Hewitt's "Come on!" quote.

Spring is so close and you can see the green starting to come up from the ground. I do not think the green will sprout from the trees soon, but I am thinking about two weeks for the first wave.

I just found out that NIP / TUCK is coming back for a fifth season. Woo Hoo! What would I do without McNamera / Troy? Well, nothing. But these "plastic surgeons" have made me care about them even though they are just TV characters.

Respect in Englewood

Greetings People

Respect was recognized this evening. As I left work this evening I decided to visit my Chick-fil-A and get my gallon of Sweet Tea. I was not even in the door when I saw "my man", already getting my gallon of Sweet Tea for me. At the register was a young teenager girl looking at me and "the man" completing my order. Respect, my friends. As I mentioned in a previous blog some time ago - one hand washes the other and well respect was recognized today and that has entirely made my day. The young girl was speechless, but never-the-less she smiled as her manager completed my order with any orders given. When all was said and done and he completed my order I said "Thank you very, very much sir" and thank you to the young girl even though she did nothing except give me my change. I think subconsciously I wanted attention tonight for the so-so day I had and I made an excuse to stop by and visit since I have not visited Chick-fil-A since December. That was not due to me being lazy, but because of all the snow and ice and yes even the cold that has transpired in the past three months. Readers, I hope that I do not sound rude, but I wanted some attention and this was the way, only way, that I thought I could get the "respect" I craved quickly. I guess the other thing was that at least I avoided any opportunity for me to get "worked up" in order to get myself "pleased" Strange I should operate that way, but that is one of my faults I do not recognize as "bad", but "good" for me.

As you surmised readers, I am getting my smile back thinking about him getting my order without even asking. We quickly asked how each other was doing and how our winter went.

Well, I broke the 500 song mark on my Pink Ipod last night. Pretty amazing feat and I think that I am down to 1.58 GB of space left. I was up late last night loading more songs onto my Pink Ipod.

Speaking of which, on Monday I brought my Pink Ipod to work and was hiding the Ipod underneath my keyboard or I would lay a piece of paper on top of the Ipod so no one could see. Well, that went out the door this morning. Today I let my Pink Ipod be left out in the open on my desk. I was comfortable with letting anyone see. After all it is only a color. Yet, more importantly I think my confidence and getting back into training has starting something in me that indicates I am ready to tackle the world. I have more important things to care about and the color is something very superficial to worry about. Although, it is a great starter to a conversation. Depending on your view =). Hold on Readers! I am not going to cross the line and join the same team as me. Oh no! Still straight as an arrow and love the color blue. I think that I heard that "Pink is the new Black" once. Whatever.

New SouthPark in a little more than 24 hours. Woo Hoo!

The last thing, I think. Prison Break - I was laughing so hard last night that I could not breathe. It was the previews for the next episode of Prison Break in two weeks. It appears that Teddy, with a fisherman's hat on, is in a cab at the airport and he is wrestling through the left back window of the cab with Sucre on the outside of the cab and yells "andele!" and then not a second later Teddy leans and looks toward the cab driver, while still wrestling with Sucre and says louder "Andele!". Hah hah. That is Teddy to a T. Not a panicked looked, but a Teddy look. The other scene in Prison Break was when Sarah was hiding under the bed in the hotel. She hears the door click, leading to believe that Agent Mahone has left. Get the fuck out of here! This is a classic horror movie plot. The girl goes swimming, the guy goes to the bathroom, or someone goes for a beer and says "I'll be right back" I had to laugh at this - only a white girl (no disrespect to white people) would think that everything is okay, when it is NOT. Messed up! I told my black co-worker today and we just laughed until tears were rolling down her face and my side was hurting from trying not to laugh out loud. Just too funny. She pointed out the hotel maid and how Mahone flashed his badge in one hand while his gun was in the other hand and she just casually hands the key out of her pocket to him then casually rolls her cart out of the scene as if she was going to the next room to clean. Which leads to the key? A physical Key? This is a fancy hotel (come on folks a 10 story hotel) would have a card reader/hotel key cards. There would not be a physical key. Sorry readers. True Shit. Yet, I realize this is a show and yes I will still watch. But, I will still look for the unusual things that do not "work" for me. =)

Alright, I think that I have nothing else to say

I Can't Hear You

Greetings People

"I can't hear you"

As I voice to whomever asks me for the time or anything to get an answer to the question they have asked. As I am saying this I also point to my ear, which clearly shows that I have earphones lodged inside my ears.

Now, whether or not I can actually can hear the other person depends on the type of music that is playing. Or even better, no music playing. I am still going to point to my ear and say "I can not hear you"

When I have my earphones in my ears that means that I do not want to listen to you nor do I want to talk to you. You can smile all you want, you can ask politely, you can shout, you can wave your arms, you can point to your wrist to pantomime "what time?", you can bat your pretty eyelashes, etc. I am not going to answer your question(s) you presented. I am under no obligation to give you an answer, nor do I consider this rude since you are attempting to interrupt me and my music. The other person is the person being rude.

I am only saying this is because on Sunday I was trying to be asked five questions while I was listening to my music all day.

I clearly stated that "I can not hear you" and pointed to my ears or held up my CD walkman.

Instance 1 - I understood that you wanted the time. Well, you should of wore a watch, grabbed your watch this morning or go buy a watch if this is a question that gets you to ask a question everyone you know. It is not my fault that you walked out that door without a watch. Also, this woman probably thought that she has all men under her control. Not this guy. Perhaps she has a guy "whipped" or "around her finger" in her life, but I know better, er so to speak. I know, I know. Yes, it could of been very simple of me to answered her question, but then I would of have to make a few adjustments to oneself, push back my jacket to see my watch, but I did not want to. Again, not my problem/issue. I call it a "problem" you can call it request or whatever, but it comes down to me and yes - it is "problem" that I see you have.

Instance 2 - I know that you were asking me if this is the train to Colorado Blvd. First of all, I arrived about 3 to 5 minutes before the train came to the Light rail station and I saw you standing there waiting for the light rail train. In all that time before I got there you had to opportunity to look at the station maps (posted around the station) to find out where you need to go and what train you need to get to. But - 1. At the light rail station, mind you the only light rail station, that has been operational since last year there is one track going North and one track going south. So, if you have any sense, not Mensa quality, but any sense you can figure out the question if this train go to Colorado Blvd which is South and which is on the side you were waiting for. Does not take rocket scientist to figure that out. and 2. You know where you are at. If you are at such and such station Colorado Blvd is South, not North. Does the sun come up in the North? You see - does not take a rocket scientist trainee to figure that out. Not my problem that you did not read the map and not my problem that you did not read the front of the light rail train.

Instance 3 - Is this the line for pre-registration? Well, if you would take off those dark sunglasses and look at the two lines you could figure out the line for Pre-registration and the line for already registered people. I arrived at Washington Park not 10 minutes before and was able to figure out which line to be in. Duh. I filled out the necessary form since I had not pre-registered and then looked at both lines and saw that one line had people holding the same form that I had just filled out and the other line did not. Enough said. He continued to ask me again and did not say another word. Not my problem. If you can not figure out this simple math equation on which line is which, then you better get your head out of your butt. Also, I am standing in a line full of people, go bother someone else without earphones on. Get over it, my friend.

And so forth. I could go on and give more reasons and other views, but what it comes down to is I have the option to answer or not. Depending on your view - I was rude. On the other hand - I was not rude. You can say I should of answered them. I say I did not have to. You could say that those questions were easy to answer. I would say - so what - I chose not to answer since I elected not to be bothered by putting my earphones in and mentioning "I can't hear you"

If you were brought up with manners, you say excuse me. (Which not one of these people said "Excuse me"- Damn straight I could hear them!). If no response then say once more and if you feel the person(s) did not hear you then tap them on the shoulder for their attention. (Damn Straight! - I was looking one way and sure the other person was looking at the side of my ear and they had looked they would of seen why I was not acknowledging them.) Again, I could go on and on. I was rude, in probably most of you reader's view, in not responding, but they initiated the "rudeness" with me. I do not tolerate rudeness nor ignorance.

I think this was good blog entry for me to blog about. Kind of nice to put this out to the world.

Prison Break - Was a pretty good episode, but some scenes did not work in my opinion. Overall, I will still watch the show. =)

And there was my OWGE on Light rail this morning smiling and laughing and asked me the question that made her laugh "How was work yesterday?" I could not help it either. I laughed with her and said "I did not get off work until 5:30." And we laughed once more together. Again, she has made my morning.

well, until the next time

The Day After the End of the 1st Slam of 2007

Greetings People

All of us "die hard" tennis fans have finally recuperated our daily schedule here in the MST, specifically Denver, Colorado. The late evenings and trying to stay up until the 1:30 AM MST match was a lot of work. Last night I was finally able to go to sleep at 11:00 PM and not worry about who's playing and whether or not I want to get up and watch if I was sleeping good. Or was I going to pull have an all niter since the 1:30 AM match turned out to be something special.

If you readers have not heard. Serena Williams and Roger Federer won the Australian Open 2007 this past weekend.

My opinion? Really? Okay. Well, the Williams vs. Sharapova match was domination on Serena's racket. Sharapova was almost shut out. She played the play she has been since the first match of the tournament. Oh yes, I was saying "yes" and yelling for Serena to stick it to Sharapova! The match was "pretty". Not entertaining, but was a pleasure for me to see Sharapova get her "ova" knocked out from her. The picture does not do her justice on what she really looked like.

Gonzalez vs Federer - I enjoyed this match. Again we were hoping for Fernando to pull an upset, but even I had to come back to earth and face reality of who is going to win. The first set was good - the hits, rallies, the shots and the overall play. After the first set the next two sets went fast. Not like the Roddick match, by no means, but Gonzalez was fighting til the end.

There is really not much else to say. Mary Carillo only took five minutes this time to use "s - - - - - - - ". It is her new favorite word and I know that she going to use this more and more throughout the year.

The Dick Enberg (? - sorry I do not remember his last name) I have no real problem with his commentary, but jeez louise. When Gonzalez was serving he says Federer needs only two more points to win. Why couldn't he say Gonzalez can not give up two point or something along that line. Sure he sounds to be a Federer fan, but by no means does he need to comment for Federer when Gonzalez has the serve. Then "Stoic Silence" ? Hmmm.

That is all from Denver, Colorado from me watching ESPN2 and ESPN. I hope you readers enjoyed another report from me. I may write a followup to some things I touched upon, but if not then perhaps in the future.

Now, back to my almost "normal" schedule. I got to watch my shows I taped in the past two weeks - Prison Break, Gilmore Girls, PBR and AE's The Sopranos. I cooked some food. Can you believe I ate pizza for a whole week. I got the 10 + 9 special at Pizza Hutt, so I did not have to worry about cooking while watching the Australian Open. I sometimes get distracted and have been known to burn or forget something. I did laundry, cleaned up, made Potato Salad, grilled outside and watched the snow fall on Saturday morning out on my porch.

With that I guess I better get going.

The Quarter finals of the Australian Open 2007

Greetings Readers

Before beginning - this is the next "ova" in line for the winner of the Peer vs. Williams match

Shahar Peer was playing like the number 16 seeded player that she has before her name in this Australian Open.

Regardless of what Mary Carillo was saying on her commentary and/or play by play, Serena is still unseeded. Serena is playing the game that her WTA ranking is currently at. Meanwhile, Shahar was playing the game she has been playing by her WTA ranking. So, with those two important sentences let me begin my recap... er review of the match

Well before I start, can Mary Carillo be such a ....., I mean her commentary, her references, and more importantly her opinion had no business being aired to the world. Who in the fuck cares about her Marty Fish reference, "Clam" up, "porpoise" = purpose, "flounder". I mean it was one irrelevant "joke" after another throughout the Serena vs Peer match. I would let it go by if maybe once or twice talked about. This was overkill throughout the entire Peer vs. Williams match. Then, it was made obvious that Carillo "loves" Serena. Yes, her game is on, that was Serena three years ago. I have to disagree so much. Peer was "on fire" the first set! The play showed and that play exemplified the number 16 seeded player. Yes, you readers guessed it, I am no fan of Mary Carillo. I perhaps can address this later since she irritates with me with her commentating, well "her opinion" and "her platform" since she has the spotlight for the match.

What started off with me regarding Mary Carillo this year was her reference to Justine Henin-Hardenne. Justine is out of the Australian Open due to personal reasons. That should of been enough. There was NO need for Mary Carillo to elaborate on the "personal reasons" So, for the past week Mary would give the reason why. This reminded me of the "National Inquirer" and that new show "Dirt" (which I have not watched) and how they provide the not so "pretty" news of the famous/infamous people. Anyway, last night was the first night that Mary Carillo said "out to personal reasons" and nothing more. Too late for me to take back my ill feelings towards Mary.

Sorry for the tangent readers.
Back to the Australian Open...

The first set was how the numbers showed, The number 16 player was playing the number 85 rank player in the Open. Peer's game was on. Peer's serve, the returns, the power was evident by Peer. On the other hand Serena showed her errors - not getting the ball over the net, over hitting the back baseline of the court by a foot or more or hitting some "chili pepper" Those "chili peppers" reminded me of some of my early years at playing golf. Hah hah.

The start of the second set was the same as the first set. However, Peer started to show some errors. I could not see from watching what the errors were being contributed to. I was beginning to see the decline of play of Peer and, in my opinion, it is the thought of playing a famous tennis player. Not necessarily the name "Serena", but playing someone everyone knows that any non-tennis follower would call a legend. Me? Serena is no "legend" and she still had a way to go.

The third set showed both players picking up right where they left off at the second set. Serena was finally showing some sort of life, a past life, in her tennis game. Meanwhile, Peer was starting to show some playing errors. A 180 degree turn from the first set of the match. It was at this point that I had changed my allegiance to Serena and wanted her to win. This was an 83 minute set by the time this ended.

Two hours and thirty-eight minutes later - the older player came out on top and has another date with another pesky "ova"

Roddick vs. Fish. I watched the first set and we viewers knew this was going to be one sided.

I set the tape for 1:30 AM MST and the match was Federer vs. ????and I just let that go. I am a Federer fan, but not going to cry if I did not get to record the whole match. I heard this morning he won in straight sets. Yep, he still has not given up a set to any opponent this Australian Open.

Note: Prison Break started, but I had to record since the Open is my focus. I will try and watch this week, but perhaps until this weekend

Well, until the next time readers,
