P90X - 2014 - Day 5

Greetings Readers

I had the Yoga X last night and the length I remembered - An hour and a half basically.  And I knew this from before that is was a long routine.  I kind of remember most of the Yoga routines but dang I forgot the hard ones and how much you fucking sweat when you are putting the effort and doing these routines.  As before the previous two times I did this program I was sweating and once more when starting this program I was wobbling and struggling with some of the moves.  I had to relearn some of the positions over again. LOL.

In the beginning I was doing the routine, but as the routine got further into the program I found another level inside me.  Perhaps to the stretching or Tony I think saying reach reach.  I found a bit more will to reach and believe it or not I actually did grab my toes/foots on the routines towards the end of Yoga X.  I did buy a Yoga Block last night and I am thoroughly glad I did.  I did remember how that I was balancing unevenly when I started this back in the past.  This time I was able to use the block many of the times and it was good for that extra help so to speak and I was able to hold form much longer and focus on breathing as opposed trying to balance and reach the ground.

There were several positions that I depised and of course I remember the one I hate the most - the Crane.  I just hate this move and like the previous time I could not do the first time around.  I succeeded a couple times for a second perhaps then had both feet back on the floor.  Anyway, just letting you know that this is the one I hate and will continue to hate from here on out.  And the Wheel, I think.  This first time as suspected I could not do the wheel.  Though I noticed that my wrist felt weird when doing this whereas I do not think that happened before.  I will watch that just to make sure that I do not have any issues with my wrists.

The Yoga Mat worked, but not really.  It was sticking to my feet towards the end of the program.  Also, the mat kinda of wrinkled up in a manner of speaking.  So, I ditched the mat on some of the moves and when to the rug I have in front of my Tv.  No big deal.  I am going to use the mat, but perhaps I need to find a better quality.  I of course bought this mat at Ross so perhaps I need to go to Dick's, Sports Authority, or some other store that may have Yoga material.  but this is not a hindrance and I can deal with for the moment.  perhaps Week 4 I might have to think about looking at Yoga mats better than the one that I picked up at Ross.

I did finish the routine and then took the recovery drink and then started dinner.  This time around I decided to have the chicken breast (but bought chicken thighs instead because it was cheaper and got more for my money and used from my chicken Scramble breakfast as well.  I actually made for the first time the Honey-Chile Sauce.  I had to substitute the chili power for jalapenos since I thought I had a lot of chili powder.  However, I forgot I gave some to my brother when he was visiting me in August and then I took the rest down in September so I had none.  Oh, and I used Honey clover.  I do not know what the clover means, but since I do not eat Honey how would I know the difference in the first place.  So, I bought the cheaper one and used that.  I did the recipe and used my 3 to 4 T of the condiment for the Chicken I had and I will say that it was fucking good.  Is it the recipe?  Or the slight modification?  I do not know since I never made this any of the previous two times I was on the P90X.  Since the recipe called for salt I was able to put some salt in.  Whew.  I have been salt less, meaning I am not using any salt shaker to salt my food.  If there is salt in the stuff I buy then that is my sodium in take.  Readers, I know I do need salt for my body, but will monitor and use when needed, since that is a needed ingredient for our bodies.

Readers, there are alot of first that I am doing this time around.  I ate cottage cheese, I made this sauce, I bought a Yoga Block.  I am eating string cheese as a snack. Mixing creatine with my recovery drink.  And more.

I remembered this morning that while I did the P90X the last time I was running at lunch.  This time I have not started nor given it a thought.  Anyway, maybe that is where I was going wrong.  Maybe wrong is the wrong word to use, but when I was running around where I work there are alot of fast food joints.  I was smelling Mexican, KFC, McDonald's, Chipotle, Taco Bell, etc.  Anyway, maybe that was leading to craving the last time I did this?  This time I really do not have any cravings or wanting to get a chicken four piece.  LOL.  I did mention that I saw Lay's Chips in the store and then I looked at the Coca-Cola in the store while I was shopping for my meals, but my mouth did not water nor did I have any impulse or second thought on picking up those junk food items.  Just not a second thought.  I think that is marvelous.

The other thing that I find interesting is that I have not had any caffeine as well.  Even though I have not any Soda Pop I have not have any Tea or anything else with caffeine.  Literally, I am drinking Arrowhead water at work and Deep Rock at home.  And both places with Lemon in the water.  A lot of lemons.  I bought two bags of lemons at Sprouts, which I think that helped with me getting the lemon into my water.  Oops, I have plain water when I am doing the routine only. Other than that no other drinks of anything else.  Only drinking the recovery drink. whey protein, creatine, and water.  As I have stated yesterday and still can state as of today - no Coca-Cola and no Alcohol.

I do not know if I had any headaches from no caffeine since I do not remember when I had a headache and what it felt like.  I know I was probably going through withdrawal earlier this week and I knew that feeling since I have encountered that before.

The other thing I noticed in the past two days is that I do not have the energy to bike in the morning to work.  I am not going to say it is a struggle, but that same gear I am used to seems much harder.  And I am only assuming that is due to me starting the program and getting my ass kicked for the past five days.  I am sore, but not as sore I was two days ago. I know it is too early to tell, but I know, just know, that I am already losing some of that spare tire.  I just know it.

I think today was the coldest day since spring that I can remember.  Biking to work it was 34 degrees with some wind blowing so it was colder than that.  I am not used to that cold.  I do not want to say I had a problem with the cold, but I think I did for about 3 miles. Some of those first two miles where in shade and riding near a creek.  I guess I need to remember my bike rides the previous years.  Earlier this year the ex moved about 2 miles from me so we were spending time together at one place or another and the bottom line it became routine for the ex to take me to work in her car.  Yes, I got use to that.  However, for the record it started perhaps in Feb or Mar, not any earlier so I was still biking that past two years to and from work.  There was the occasional times that the ex came down on a Friday to pick me up during the winter to visit me.

I know Readers I still have not uploaded the pictures I have been taking.  Sorry.  I actually turned on the computer last night and then turned off about 5 minutes later since I was tired and it was getting kind of late.  Wow.  Late.  Late use to mean late, now it means 10 or 11 PM.  Pretty amazing, but as I said before I knew that this would happen as well.  P90X kicks your ass.

Alright well tonight is Legs & Back and I am not looking forward to this.  I think I remember using the wall for some of the routines.  LOL.  I know that I am going to get another workout.  Thank goodness tomorrow is Saturday.  However, I am actually thinking about a mid morning run.  And yes there are no fast food joints nearby so I will not be intoxicated by the aroma.

until the next time

P90X - 2014 - Day 2

Greetings Readers

It is Day Two and boy my chest, biceps and back are sore.   It seems like I got really sore in the past couple of hours.

I did the Chest and Back routine for Day 1 last night.  I forgot some of the routines that I did a couple years ago, but there are other routines that I did remember, but forgotten that I hated those routines.  The Dive bomber.  Fuck me.  I forgot how much I hated.  The other was the pull up bar.  Since it was Day 1 let me just say that the pull up bar reps were not very high.  Embarrassing.  The second time around I used my exercise machine that has cables and which is included in the P90X program as a substitute for the pull up bar.

Then, finally the Ab Ripper X.  I remember this one, but I did not remember all the routines on there and I knew there a few and I also remember the time was about 16 to 18 minutes long.  So, I had another additional time frame on top of the Chest and Back routine.

Needless to say I sweated hard and my T-shirt was soaked in sweat and did what I could last night.  There was only a couple of times that I kind of gave up.  A couple. Then, those words which any P90X knows - You have to bring it.  You have to give everything you got in order to see the results.  If you don't then you are not going to get results.

I did mess up last night when I started when I was doing the routines that needed the bar bells.  One a couple of routines I was using and 25 and 20 weight at the same time.  I actually did not notice until I started doing the Back fly.

Dumb. Dumb.  My worksheets that I printed off worked awesome.  Better than the spiral notebook I used the past two times I did the P90X.

And guess what - it has been two and a half days without a Coca-Cola, or and sugary drink for that matter.  3 days without any alcohol.  I was feeling funny yesterday.  And that was probably the withdrawal of some sort.  Now, I think that this will happen again in a few days or perhaps a week.  I do not know, but I know going cold Turkey is tough.

Yesterday, I had my first Whey Drink.  Yuck.  Then, after the workout I had the recovery drink with creatine added as well and I have to say that was alright.  Better than alright.  Better than I expected.  So, I think I will up the creatine just a tad.  I think that helped to the recovery drink.

I finished late last night - so I had to shorten dinner basically.  Asparagus and the remaining Wild rice.  I did buy more Salmon last night, time got late though since I had to get to bed to get the necessary seven hours of sleep.

Right now, I had the chef salad for lunch and then tonight I think I am going to make the shrimp stir fry.

When I got ready to go to work I was tired, just a bit sore, but the tiredness was what I knew before.  I could bike ride to work, but will take some time or I catch RTD.  So, I biked up to the Light Rail Station and then caught Light Rail in.  I had to.  Not Lethargic.

I guess that is about that.  Again, I feel better today than I did yesterday.  Though this water thing sucks.  I am not craving a coke, but I did take a look at the Lay's Potato Chips in Safeway last night when I was buying the Salmon.

Readers, I have been talking about the ex to you.  Since the ex- wrote and text that she wanted to talk the ex always found a reason and/or excuse to not to talk.  Or say the ex was planning to talk when I said something in one of the last emails to me.

I did make full closure about two weeks ago, but the real closure was about two months ago.  The things I wrote just this past week brought up memories that I was re-collecting so the anger you read it was true and what set me off to type those blog posts.  I am not angry anymore, but I hope you understand remembering and telling you Readers, brought up some past feelings.  Though I do consider this positive therapy since I am telling you Readers and knowing that I am done with the ex for good, and the ex's children, and the ex's family, and the ex's cats.

I am typing this at lunch so if I have the strength later tonight I will try to add some photos of the past two days.  The blog is the journal for the P90X program so I am going to once more use for that since it does help me and may help or encourage you to start an exercise program.

I even tired to play Minecraft last night, but I was whipped and wanted to lay down and crash out.

Oh a note - I am not sleeping through the night the past couple of days and I think that is due to going cold turkey.  Again, just what I think.

And I actually had cottage cheese for the first time by itself in a long, long time.  And you know what Readers it was not as bad as I thought that first bite was going to be.  I have to admit it was kind of good.

until the next time

P90X - Day 1

Greetings Readers

Once again, I have embarked on the P90X Program.

Here is the Day 1 picture that I thought over and over about to post or not to post.

I am not fat, in a manner of speaking, but I did notice that I am getting a spare tire around the waist as well as the pants getting snug. And this is due to drinking of the dark beer, as well as few frozen margaritas the past week, Pizza Hutt Meat Lover's Pizza, KFC, Lays Potato Chips, and endless Coca-Colas.

Last year, I did not post a picture of myself when I did the P90X plan. I was embarrassed to post a picture of me with a "spare tire". Granted, I saw numerous blogs that had people way bigger than me posting pictures of themselves without a second thought. However, I was just not ready to post a P90x picture. Yes, I took pictures of myself but never had the guts to post my pictures I took last year of myself.

This time around I thought about it again, but fuck it. No Guts, no glory. Anyway, you faithful Readers know (and seen) me post pictures of my ass, nipples, and other revealing pictures through the years. Granted, I was not posing in my underwear like I am now. Anyway, I never gave it a second thought about my other pictures to post and whether or not I am revealing too much. And in this case it is for the P90X program, so it means like I am not flaunting anyway. Perhaps in 90 days I will be. =) Who knows, but hope to be.

In addition to the posting of the pictures - I took measurements and weight since I did not do that first time. I just gauged the weight loss by the looseness of my pants. I also bought a diet guide, but this is solely for writing down what I eat, drink and approximately how oz. I am eating. I am logging the supplements I am taking and the exercise.

Anyway, I am going about it a bit more technically, but also going to do with a bit of change of the last time. I understand what I went through the first time and am making allowances to the program. I do not wish, but hope to do within 90 days, but due to my work schedules during parts of the month as well as my personal life - I understand that I am going to be going longer than 90 days, and will not give it a second thought. I will give the program still my 100% involvement.

I am also allowing certain times to have "treat", "reward" or whatever name you want to give it to eat something not on the P90x program. Last time, at work I isolated myself from my friends since I could not go to lunch with them. Temptation was an issue last year. Better not to go was my thinking and that approach worked for me. This time around I am going to allow myself fries at least once a week so I am not being "stuck up", in a manner of speaking. Readers, my friends know that I am not being stuck up - they know that I am doing the program and how restrictive it is to me.

With that said so far, let me come to a stopping point. Let us see what comes of this and I am going to make the biggest effort to log / blog my P90X with you.

P90X - Day 1

Greetings Readers

Day 1 - is now in the book

I have to say that I woke up and started to shake. Whether it was from the caffeine, or Coca-Cola I do not know, but what I will admit is that if there was any fresh Coca-Cola in my humble abode I would have immediately "went for it."

I would estimate it was about 10 minutes later when I was finally really awake and was able to get up. I was still shaking slightly. Now Readers, I have gone cold turkey as of Saturday afternoon. No more Coca-Cola, no sugar, no alcohol, and no fast food. Basically, stopped all the "bad" stuff I consume on a daily/weekly basis. I figure I give myself a few days before actually starting the P90X program to detox, in a manner of speaking. It may be a crazy, but I figure I might as well do this. All or nothing.

I got up and knew that I had to have my first breakfast, my first P90X breakfast. Egg white Mushroom Omelet. Let me tell you Readers, An Egg white, a 6 egg white, omelet, was not very pleasant to look at. Meaning, comparing that to my pre-P90X program, my omelet looks no where near close to the Egg white Omelet. I had the entire thing though - Perhaps my mind made it tasted funny, but that may be because of what I normally have in my omelet as opposed to the P90X omelet.

That done - I got my lunch, which I premade, as well as all the supplements and Whey I bought earlier in the week. Again, Supplements are extra, but I thought to myself - what the fuck. I might as well go "Full Throttle" with the program and hope this will be the way to the results I am hoping for. I am expecting something, but with the supplements I am betting that will only help even more. Right?

Oh on the way to work I bought a huge bottle of water at the gas station (Circle K). $ 1.99. Note: This is even cheaper at the Store (King Soopers) for 1.29. I knew that I drink water all day. Well.. let me rephrase that - I have to drink water - period. I am actually watching what and how much sugar anything I may want to drink. I know that perhaps I may want to buy a powerade/gatorade, but their sugar in it - alot in manner of speaking.

Taste good and probably okay. But again. what the fuck. If I am going "full throttle" then I need to still to stick to water. Even though there is no Coca-Cola for me I might as well not substitute for a less sugary/fructose drink.

Lunch - Chef Salad - The P90X chef salad. Good, but again not what I am normally use to eating when I make my salad. Doable and eatable, but just not what I am used to. Oh, I forgot the dressing, but I do not eat Ranch dressing, so I was going to bring vinegar and Oil, but I forgot that so I was dressing-less. There is a cafe in our building and in the past I can get a saucer of Italian dressing when needed. But again - what the fuck. No substitution and I need to stick to the meal plan as close as possible. And we all know that those Ranch dressing are loaded with "stuff" whereas vinegar and oil (olive oil) is much, much better.

After work I went to the store to buy my dinner and my meals for the next day. Salmon for tonight and stir fry. Readers, I did go grocery shopping days before - I bought the stuff that will not go bad - rice vinegar, bottle of white wine, sesame seeds, etc. Whereas, I can not buy the stuff that is going to go bad in a few days or needs to be cooked a couple of days.

It is so weird to see my fridge filled with so much fresh and good stuff. All there is now are vegetables, Ham, Onions, Almond Milk and all my hard liquor and wine I keep in the fridge. Don't worry Readers, I am not going to be tempted by the hard liquor. I do drink the hard liquor, but I can months without drinking that. Also, that bottle of wine is the same one that I bought a year and a half ago. Now, if there was bottle of beer then I would be tempted.

Anyway, it does look odd to see a "Clean" fridge, as well as a "pantry." No junk food in the humble abode. That part was not hard, since I normally do not have any junk food in the abode. I only buy when I get the craving - Lays Potato Chips, Frozen Ice Juice bars (sorry I can not remember the actual name since it has been a while since my last one), etc. I threw out condiments that I was not going to use - barbeque sauce...

Fast forward - the Day 1 photo. I decided on the boxer briefs and I am actually embarrassed by the photos. What I see in the mirror every morning is not what I am seeing on what the camera took. I do look big in the stomach area. Can I blame the lighting? the angle? Does not matter. I took and posted and will have to get over what I saw/see. Though, I better see improvement in 2 to 4 weeks in the 30 day picture. I just better.

I put in the first workout. It was tough. I did my research before buying the P90X and yes they said the DVD instructor does says some "corny" things from time to time and yes that is correct. But all in all, he made me smile, when I was grimacing trying to do some routines. There are options before starting the DVD so technically I think that you could mute the dialogue. Sorry Readers, I did not thoroughly look into since I am going to listen to what he says in order to do my first workout. I would estimate that I was able to do about 80 percent of the DVD workout - Day 1. Some routines were hard. Though if I could only do one, then I did a modified version. Yes, I could wait and catch my breath until the next routine, but what it boils down to is that I am in full throttle, I better give it everything I can.

Needless to say, I was sweating when the end of the program was reached. Wait. Apparently, I was not done. I had to do another routine and this was pure ab work - 22 minutes or so, I think. I have to admit I was already "burning" and the muscle were fatigue by the first 55 minute workout. This was torture for me. I did what I could do and if I couldn't I tried as hell to do what I could. I did not wait until the next routine started.

And that Readers was my first day of the P90X program.

Until the next time

Thrifty or Cheap - that is the subject

Greetings Readers

Frugal or C.B. (a.k.a. Cheap Bastard)?

I have blogged about this a few times in the past. Some things I own I want the most for my money. However, in other people’s view I may seem like a cheap bastard.

For example, I was on the Light Rail the other day. I saw a sight that I found sort of humorous at first, but then quickly my humor changed to sadness.

She was eating one of those “lunch size” Lays Potato Chips bags when I saw her tip the bag to her mouth and tap the end of the bag, as such as I do myself to get all the little crumbs in the bottom of the bag. After all who does not like Potato Chips.

Then, I saw her turn the chip’s bag inside out so that the inside silver lining was on the outside and she proceeded to lick the inside of the bag. It was not sloppy lick or a loving lick on a body, but just a lick to get every taste from the residue of chip’s and salt.

I smiled at first since I think I remember seeing that in a movie once, or a TV show. However, to see that in real life was wow. Yet, those few seconds of smiling turned to concerned.

Why did she do that? Was that her only meal that she could afford? Was she trying to get her money’s worth? Did she have a problem with Lay’s Potato Chips? I know from my own personal life that I have been know to eat almost an entire bag of Lay’s Potato Chips in one sitting. However, I have never, ever licked the inside of any Potato Chip Bag.

To me that would seem gross. However Readers, I will admit that we all have had our mouths somewhere that would be gross to some, but to others not gross. What may be gross to others is not gross at all to others. I know that sounds redundant, but there are differences, however minute, between those two statements I just made.

Anyway, the reason for bringing up this story was not to ask you Readers whether that was gross or not gross. The question I want to ask you Readers was she being frugal or a Cheap Bastard?

Frugal for getting her money’s worth? Or was she a cheap Bastard for not having a second bag of chips or having a bigger bag of chips to satisfy her hunger?

Questions for which I do not know the answer(s) Readers.

With that being said let me explain why I started out with that story.

I have currently switched over to my winter bike, Tracey, since the rain and one snowfall have now started in Colorado. My brakes on Tracey were shot at the end of Spring this year. Matter of fact, I was stopping with my foot since the brakes were useless. However, since Spring was over I was going to be riding three other bikes as opposed to Tracey since Spring and Summer was here.

I go into the local bike shop up/down the road – depending on your point of view and look for a replacement brakes pads on my bike. Lo’ and behold the store does not carry my type of brake pads I need. However, they can find a suitable replacement braking system for me. Of course, at a price. You guess it Readers; I thought to myself “Fuck that”

That evening I went home and took off both pads and then flipped and switched the pads so that they were on opposite sides of the brake system. After all, road brake pads erode at an angle due to the angle of the rims. With that being said the worn out part of the brake pads was at the bottom of the brake system and the non-worn out brake pads were at the top of the brake system.

I have done this in the past and this was nothing new to me. After all Readers, when one has over 10 bikes in his collection replacing every item on a bike becomes pricey. To me this sort of short-term brake resolution is acceptable – and it works for me. Readers, I do not take any responsibility nor endorse this type of short-term fix. It is dangerous and should you do this on your own you do so at your own risk. I do not assume responsibility for this type of action.

Depending on how hard I brake this short-term fix can last for a few month, or could only last a month, depending on how hard I squeeze the brakes to stop.

Now the question, or perhaps a comment – Am I cheap bastard for not buying a replacement braking system? Or am I being frugal for getting the most out of my money for a $ 10.00 dollar brake pads.

I mentioned a couple of reasons why I think I was being frugal – owning many bikes, getting my money’s worth. To me this is justifiable for reversing and flipping my brake pads for getting my money’s worth. Yet Readers, let me refresh your memory Readers, I did go into the bike store to buy replacement pads. Yet, when that was not possible I had to come to a resolution immediately.

I could have gone to another store, but the evening was late. I know Readers, I could list excuse and reason after reason, but in this particular scenario I knew of the immediate fix and I took upon myself to fix the issue of no brakes. Of course, I could go the store the next day, the next week, but since I “fixed” the problem there was no reason to go the store.

Perhaps the answer depends on your point of view.

Until the next time

A New Bike for my Brother

Greetings Readers

Well, I have gone and done it. I bought the same exact model and type of Mountain Bike for my brother this weekend.

I also bought the second new Mountain bike from the same store manager I bought the first one from. Of course, there was the usual "Hey didn't you buy this bike a couple of weeks ago?" from other employees (not the store manager though)

"Yes, I did. So what. I can not buy another bike?"

And that was that. I did ride the new Mountain bike home making sure that I did not get the bike too dirty. After all I want the Mountain bike to be as clean as possible.

What?

No, I am not going to give the first bike to my Brother. Yes, logically I have a choice, but in reality I bought the first Mountain bike for myself. And I have named that bike Lily. For me to give away Lily and re-name the second bike Lily is just wrong.

Yet Readers, a certain ignorant cyclist who says I am the rudest person he has ever known would keep the newest bike for him/herself and give the older bike (about 3 weeks old) to his/her brother/sister if the roles were reversed. That young inexperienced attitude and thinks he/she is all that and a bag of Chips.

Granted, I think and know I am all that and a bag of Potato Chips, on some subjects. And of course I am not too arrogant enough to admit that fact to you Readers. Unlike my junior ignorant cyclist.

In closing, the temptation to just ride that new second bike is soo tempting. But alas, I do have Lily and she is more than enough for me to keep myself content with her. Hah hah.

I am pretty proud of myself for buying the bike for my brother though. As I wrote in the past I do buy things for my brother from time to time and costs vary from a few dollars up to about 50.00 dollars or so. Yet, I think I have exceeded my spending purchase this time around.

My brother does have a GT Mountain Bike - early year 2,000 I-drive model before the reversed I-drive was introduced. Color Red and pretty darn nice. However, the bike is getting old and is slowly falling apart piece by piece. I did get the I-drive model, but at least I got him another GT model. That is better than nothing right.

Unfortunately, he is the type of person that would not buy a new bike for the sakes of buying a bike - LIKE MYSELF - (11 bikes). Could be due to money on why not buying a new bike. Could be due to why should he buy a new bike when the old one works. Could be many reasons.

I did talk to my parents and told them to be aware just in case that my Brother does start talking about a new bike to discourage his purchase until I get him his new bike I bought for him. I am not sure when I will be able to get his new bike to him, but I estimate in about 2 to 4 weeks when I think I will be able to get to Albuquerque and deliver his new bike.

What? Am I expecting something in return. No, but I would not mind it. Although he did buy me the DVD The Dark Knight for Christmas since I did not have the DVD, but only Blueray The Dark Knight version. And no I would not take any cash from him.

There you have it Readers. And one would have to ask themselves would the rudest person you have ever known done that for a sibling? Or even expect that from a sibling?

P.S. - If you can not tell from the picture - My brother's bike is on the left (with no dried mud on the tires) and Lily is on the right (Dried mud on the tires and broken reflector). And I put both bikes in the picture so no one would think that I am taking two pictures of the same bike individually. I do not want you Readers to think that I am lying. After all - my shit does not smell better than your shit.

Until the next time

The "Missing" Sandwich

Greetings Readers

I guess, I need to fess up for something that transpired late Friday Morning. I was okay Friday morning having a so so day at work. I had do something that had to be done. Anyway, I worked up an appetite and I thought to myself I am going to have the other half of my $ 5.00 foot long subway Cold Cut Combo that I had on Thursday for an early Friday Lunch. I still had a full bag of Lay's Potato Chips, and my customary bottle of Coca Cola.

Where I work has two refrigerators since so many of us bring lunches. Well, I guess I would have to say that I am not one of "us", but on this particular day I had a reason to use the refrigerator.

Getting back to the story. I went to the fridge a little after 11 AM and I looked where I put my sandwich the day before. And I did not see my sandwich on the shelf. I saw a few other lunch bags and plastic bags, but I did not see the Subway Sandwich bag that contained half my sandwich and also a pink post it note, scotch taped to the outer bag. Nada. Well, I thought perhaps the bag got moved or pushed behind another bag/tote. So, I searched the shelf. Nothing. Then, I searched the all four shelves in the refrigerator. Nothing still.

Oh boy. My attitude changed real quick. I think it is funny how my mood can change quickly when something I want/desire is not there. I was getting pissed off. Skip being mad. I did not see/find my sandwich in the fridge. I also checked the fridge door and drawers. Nothing.

Well, I decided to check the other fridge. I did the same thing, I checked all the shelves, the drawers and the fridge door. Nothing, except for friend's sandwich that she had leftover from our lunch outing.

Hmmm.

I re-checked the fridge I know I put the sandwich in yesterday, just in case in my current mood and perhaps not checking carefully to make sure that I did not overlook a part of the fridge. Nothing once more. Then, I decided to check a trashcan that was near the fridge. Only one item was in there, but it was not my bag with my sandwich in the bag. I was pissed.

How in the fuck could my sandwich disappear?! It is only Friday, which means that the fridge cleaning does not happen until the weekend when everything left over in the fridge gets thrown away in garbage.

Note: My friend believes that the cleaning crew have a spectacular collection of Tupperware at home from all the Tupperware that supposedly does not get thrown away. However, I believe that the cleaning crew throw the Tupperware away. I mean there is only so much Tupperware one can have right?

Wait! Before working here I never, ever have/had Tupperware in my humble kitchen abode. I am going to say something I do believe and I know that I am going to contradict what I am going to say, but I still believe in that statement.

Tupperware is great. Yet, Tupperware to me indicates "white trailer trash." I do not mean that in a bad way, only in my personal view. I could fucking care less if you have Tupperware in your home, but Tupperware in my home is a taboo. I love having things other people do not have in their kitchen. I would not think any different of you should you have Tupperware in your home. Its the way I feel about Tupperware.

But, since I started working at where I am at I have started taking lunch for myself, for friends and any reason for me to cook. At that point I had to succumb to buying some Tupperware. Yep. I had to. Anyway, long story short I had to make sure I got some decent Tupperware and to make sure that I have a uniform set (meaning different sizes that all are made by the same manufacturer, same color and same set.) I was not going to buy a cheap looking Tupperware set, but how in the fuck was I going to know what is cheap Tupperware and what is cheap, cheap Tupperware.

I looked in the Grocery Stores and I saw what was available. With that I decided to make a stop at Target, then Wal-mart. That was where I saw the one that I was going to purchase. The Tupperware seemed to be expensive so I decided right there to get that type of Tupperware. Within a couple weeks I had a set, the set, of Tupperware I had to have in order to transport food to and from work.

By all means, I have not changed my views, but I am less rigid on the thinking of "white trash looking." I have to admit the containers are great for my salads, rice, and homemade Salsa I bring in. And yes, I have the Tupperware in my kitchen, but carefully out of the normal cabinets since I would not like anyone seeing that I have Tupperware in my kitchen. Crazy, I know.

As you can readers I got off topic once more. Talking about Tupperware and not the real reason for the post - the "missing" sandwich. First and foremost, I am not going to say or even assume that someone took my sandwich and be on the lookout for a Cold Cut Combo in the Southern part of Denver with a pink post-it note taped to the sandwich plastic bag . I have to take in consideration the many, many possibilities there are to the "Missing" sandwich - just as in life.

1. That someone saw my handwriting - "Mr C's 05/29/08" on the pink post it note and decided to him/herself "Hmmm that's his lunch and I going to get rid of the sandwich out of spite!"

2. There was a vindictive cleaning crew and they saw that I do not acknowledge them at all and they decided to throw my sandwich away for being a prick.

3. My friend decided to see how I will react by taking the sandwich out of the fridge and get herself a laugh and a smile on a Friday.

4. Someone was hungry and needed something to eat.

5. Someone decided to take my sandwich for some one taking their sandwich in the past. An eye for an eye.

6. Someone decided that it was my turn to "lose" something from the fridge.

7. I just picked the wrong day and wrong fridge to put my left over sandwich into. Sucks to be me.

8. Someone took my sandwich home with them, an honest mistake by not looking closely on what he/she was taking on the way out of the office fridge.

9. And the list could go on for more possibilities.

I could and would not ever assume that someone just stole(n) my sandwich. That is just naive thinking and so one-sided. Not to mention that shows your true character on how you look to others. Though I would be careful around that person since he/she would assume that should something go missing in the future. Hey - you could be labeled a thief by nothing you did except being yourself.

Anyway, I was pissed off, but I got back to my desk and ate more potato chips instead. Good enough, but the Cold Cut Combo sandwich along with the chips would have been the almost perfect leftover lunch. I was a bit mad, but got over it since the sandwich was literally 5 bones and change. After all, it is only a sandwich, nothing another "Subway Sandwich Maker" can make for me at my next visit to their establishment.

As you can see I got over it since I did not even remember this incident until this afternoon when I was remembering what happened last week. Yet, thinking and writing about the incident is funny.

There you have it readers - the "missing" lunch from the fridge or if I was going to put myself in some one's shoes (and I am sure you could guess who) I could title the post "Someone took my sandwich."

Until the next time.

Bike Tires and Me

Greetings Readers

Bike Tires

I have acknowledged this topic occasionally in my past posts. All of my biking tires principally are Michelin ProRace tires. Customarily the Blue or Red Color. However, on my current day-to-day bike I usually put other brand name bike tires on since this is the one bike, Tracey, that will get the most mileage put on.

Wait a minute… I had to verify what type of tires that I have on my everyday bike. The bike tires are the color gray to match this remarkable bike scheme. Hutchinson – Fusion Comp. It has GMP. Grip Maximized Performance – New rubber mixture reinforced with silica that features a pronounced granular-textured surface for the ultimate ingrip. Yes readers, that’s what is says on the packaging.

Note: I keep all my bike tire packaging so I know what types of tires I purchased for my everyday bike. I want to make sure when I get another new set of tires I can recollect what brand I like and what brand I should steer clear of for whatever reason.

In my view - the category of the bike tire matters so much to me. And a very close second is the color. Yeah yeah yeah, I know that sounds ludicrous, but I want color (and sometimes logos) on my bike tires. Either to parallel my bike color or to totally offset the color arrangement of the bike. The only time that I have a pure black tire is when the tire is brand new and that is what is included on the bike on the day of purchase. After that pure black tire is threaded out I only purchase bike tires with color.

I like to have “grip”(traction) on my bike tires. When I lean into a turn I want to lean and not worry about “going horizontal” and kiss the Earth.

I also like to purchase the more expensive brand of tire. It does not matter that the bike tire is on sale; I would still look at the retail price and hopefully say to myself that is an expensive tire, which I am getting at a bargain price.

In general, an expensive tire is the superior choice. Believe me on this. Many years ago I bought the 8.00 tire. It was the worst tire I ever put on my bike. I got no mileage out of the tire and literally wore that tire down.

When I put on a brand new set of bike tires, yes I usually buy two bike tires, I am so happy. Matter of fact I do not want to take the bike out and get those bike tires dirty.

Now, here’s a secret that I will now divulge. This is how pathetic I am. I have the Orange Goo that is available at all automotive stores that is used for grease, oil, and whatever grime gets on your hands and arms regarding vehicles. First, I wipe the tires down with a semi wet paper towel. Then, I grab another paper towel and put some Orange Goo on the paper towel and proceed to wipe my tire down starting with the sides of the tire. I thoroughly wipe until I feel I am done. I then get another semi wet paper towel. (Readers, I know that a rag would work probably better [and save paper towel consumption], but once I get into my ritual, or a ritual, I do not modify any of my rituals)

The feeling I get I cannot even relate to you readers, but my eyes light up and I think I do smile when I see the bright color (usually the blue or red) of the bike tire. Seeing no dirt on the bike tire is priceless. I get a fourth semi wet paper towel and wipe once more. I want no dirt on my bike tire and I want that bike tire to look new!

But, my cleanliness does not stop there. While I have the bike tires off the bike I wipe down both set of brakes. There is that black residue from the brakes, which I just hate, but I want my bike tires to stay clean for as long possible and that means cleaning the brakes.

When I finally get everything wiped down. Oh yes, I did not mention that when I clean my bike tires I end up wiping the whole fucking bike down. And I do not mean that in a bad way. It always fucking happens! I wipe the forks, the frame, the posts, etc. I take a toothpick and wrap a piece of paper towel around the toothpick and wipe the…. Oops – I am digressing from the topic at hand. I will cover this subject in a future blog. I am laughing at myself on this because I sure could get going on this topic.

After the bike tires appear “brand new” here is where I get myself worked up. I have to inspect each bike tire. I just loathe this part. I hate finding “the tears” in my tires, especially when I know that I bought the bike tire a week ago. The $ 40.00 to $ 50.00 dollar per bike tire I bought and I see a “tear” just pisses me off and I start to wonder where and how that “tear” occurred.

Now, let's jump ahead in time, for this particular set of tires 1,290.17 miles later. The bike tires are looking pretty battered, but what’s worst the bike tire is literally unraveling. That is what is pictured on my blog post for today. Of course, in my opinion, the bike tires are still usable and rideable (not sure that is a word).

I know what you are thinking – This guy is crazy. Or perhaps thinking – Why doesn’t he buy a new bike tire?

Why don’t I buy a new bike tire. Hmmm. I have many reasons and this list is in no particular order.

1. I am a cheap skate.
2. I want my money’s worth out of the tire.
3. I can “repair” the bike tire.
4. Fuck me – I got spend another $ 50.00 to $ 100.00 dollars.

If I paid $ 50.00 I want $ 50.00 worth. No, I do not know how to gauge $ 50.00 worth. Yet, I want to ride that bike tire until I can no longer safely ride on the bike tire.

Now I am laughing at myself. And how I judge “I can no longer ride on the tire” is when I start getting flats everyday. Or if the duct tape I put inside the bike tire starts getting too much and my bike goes “thump thump” every time the "ducted" part of the bike tire makes contact with the pavement. Not to mention that I can feel the “thump thump” either in my handlebars or my bike seat (depending if the front or rear wheel has the duct tape. I actually do not mind until the “thump thump” until it gets unbearable to ride with.

Oh yes – here’s the secret. As you can see from the picture the bike tire is starting to unravel, but I did my test once more this morning. I held up the bike tire to the Sunday morning light and I did not see any major rays of sunlight shining through the bike tire itself. The threads are still intact. Yet, I predict in about two weeks I think I am going to seeing the world through that portion of the bike tire. And here’s the secret to get some more miles out of the bike tire. You need some scissors, duct tape, an empty Coca-Cola can carton (a 12 or 24 pack will suffice) and your past experience in grade school while doing art.

Here’s how I “repair” a bike tire - Cut out a rectangle piece of carton – depending on the size of the hole that you are trying to repair. If you mess up just cut another one out. Once that is done place the piece of carton inside the bike tire. After you place the piece inside in the bike tire grab the roll of duct tape. I usually cut a piece of duct tape that is bigger than the piece of carton I just cut out. Place the duct tape over the piece of carton you placed inside the bike tire. Then, I usually cut a couple more strips of duct tape (does not matter what size since I am placing all other pieces of duct tape over the initial duct tape) What I am trying to do is add some thickness where “I am seeing the world through the tire” since the road is going to grind/wear away at the carton and duct tape through riding.

And that’s my secret on fixing a worn out bike tire that you want to get more mileage out of. Remember readers and riders - Even though you may be “seeing the world through the tire” the bike tire is also unraveling on the sides of the tire where the threads are no longer on the bike tire. Be careful! The integrity of the bike tire will soon be gone and then you will have a bike tire that is not a bike tire and perhaps you could damage your rim(s)

I realize I typed “I am a cheapskate”, but I am not sure if that is the right thing to say since I like quality and as I blog some time ago – I am a name brand wh-re” I just want to get my use out of the tire before investing in a new tire. I have money, but a friend say to me “You’re the type of person who takes account of every penny you spend.” And that is true. I don’t want to buy a new bike tire until I really have to

I just wish I could apply that philosophy to my bike buying. Fuck me.

Now, onto my adventures this morning with the Sunday ritual. I had to go to the grocery store this morning since I have no Coca-Cola in my humble abode. I knew that I had to get the 12 pack of Vanilla Coca-Cola, but I also knew that I was going to buy something else at the grocery store.

I looked in my wallet – a couple of Lincolns and a lot of Washingtons. Nope, I did not count the exact cash, but had a general sense I had enough for whatever I may purchase. I then grabbed $ 1.75 in quarters from my Coca-Cola coin bank. The Sunday paper cost $ 1.50, but I always carry an extra quarter just in case the paper machine fucks me out of a quarter.

Note: Readers, I got fucked out of a quarter a few times before and that meant I had to ride home and get another quarter. Now, that is why I carry an extra quarter – just in case. In the spring and summer – not a problem. In winter – well like this morning it was cold, cold. So cold that my fingers were cold, my eyes were watering from the cold and how fast I was riding down Arapahoe Road. That means it was cold outside.

I decided to go to the grocery store first then get the paper from the paper machine last. Inside the grocery store I decided I wanted chicken for dinner, then I decided I wanted to make salad, then I walked past the Potato Chips Aisle and stopped. I walked backwards and decided I wanted Lays Potato Chips. Thank goodness the chips were on sale. I finally completed my journey to the Soft Drinks Aisle.

I walked to the cashier - Kim. By the way readers, this particular Grocery store does not have any cashiers on duty until 8 AM on Sunday. And as you faithful readers know there is no way I am going to use the self-serve checkout. No fucking way!

The cashier starts weighing and scanning my groceries. I am watching the expenses go up on the check out screen. I am getting a bit worried - $ 12.00, then $ 15.00 and finally $ 18.00 and change. I say to the cashier – “Um, I might not have enough”. I open my wallet and pull out all the bills. I laid two Lincolns on the small place where you write out your check and then I started to count the Washingtons. There were seven Washingtons. “Oh here is my grocery store card perhaps that will help?” New total was $ 17.31 – Fuck me. I did not want to use my Sunday paper money. Fuck. I grabbed two of the Sunday morning quarters and that settled the expenses. I was left with $ 1.25 in quarters and .19 in change. Now, I have to ride home and grabbed a quarter and then ride back. Again, if it was not winter I would be okay riding home and back, but this morning was cold and I just did not want to ride back to where I was presently at.

I know that I could have put back some of the items in my grocery basket, but I wanted every item I chose this particular morning. There was no reasoning that was going on inside me. Nor did I think twice about putting any items back. I wanted my chicken thighs, mushrooms, green onions, radishes, carrot, cucumber, leaf lettuce ($ 1.99!), Vanilla Coca-Cola and Lays Potato chips.

Long story short as I was riding home from the grocery store I got a flat. After changing the flat I see the culprit was a thorn. Not sure how in the hell I got that on Arapahoe Road. From using my Sunday paper quarters, getting a flat, being very cold, I am still smiling. Why you wonder – well let me tell you.

An “old cashier” from another grocery store (just up the street from where we were) noticed me outside the grocery store I went to this morning. I heard “Hey, what are you doing at this store?!” I ignored this since I did not think this person was talking to me. I heard the sentence once more so I looked up from my bike bag and saw Dick. I said “Hi Dick, I have not seen you in a long, long time?”

Without boring you readers – we caught up since we last saw each other in less than two minutes. He retired back in June. And I am still riding every Sunday Morning - hell every day. Who knows if we will see each other again, but it was nice to see him again. We are not friends, but in a sense we are. He was the cashier I went to at the other grocery store when I had to. And Dick was one cashier who did not ask if I wanted stamps or ice. A plus in my book. End of that story.

If you readers have read this far then you may laugh like I did.

I returned home to get the quarter, a quarter, I needed and then headed to the paper machine I frequent. On instinct (since this was one paper machine that eats quarters, but you can retrieve the quarter(s) if you hit the side of the machine a bit hard) I put my left fore finger in the coin return slot and felt up the right side wall of the coin return slot. Fuck me. I smiled hugely and said out loud in a low voice – “Fuck me.” I could help laughing and shaking my head in my ever so "fuck me" manner. I did not have to ride 1.61 miles to go get a quarter. Again, it must of have been the cold morning. Or perhaps it was turning another year older. I can still laugh at myself while typing this post. If I was thinking - I should have went to the paper machine and checked the slot before even going home. Then, perhaps I would have never gotten the thorn in my tire. My life was altered by spending my reserve quarter and one of my Sunday quarters and that one quarter in coin return slot. A quarter altered my life today.

Another Update Added

Greetings Readers

And now time to post some info from my past little vacation that was stored on my laptop...

Here I am sitting in the bus (TNM&O) on the outskirts of Raton, New Mexico. We bus passengers have a 20 minutes lay over until we continue the trip to Albuquerque.(Update : The wait was an hour)

Bus travel has its advantages, but on the other hand it has a lot of disadvantages.

Yet, all in all I have to say that this sort of travel I have come to embrace and I would not think of flying. I like the idea of catching the bus at night and practically sleeping the entire trip with only waking up here and there.

In the beginning I was skeptical about taking the bus, but once I became a seasoned rider I am now used to it. In the beginning I only had my CD player. Oh yes readers that same CD player that took a fall on the Elephant Rock Ride. Why that CD player has been through thick and thin with me and I will continue to use that CD player until the day she gives up on me. Not to mention that this CD player can play TV stations, get the weather bad in 7 different waves, 25 FM station presets, 5 AM preset, Bass, anti skip technology - something which can retain music for 1 minute. What the fuck that means I have no idea.

Yet, ever since I got my pink I-pod my music has come much easier in life. I no longer have to lug around my favorite CD’s (and their Jewel Cases). I have loaded what I needed to listen to on my Pink I-pod. Not to mention my Black I-pod. I just love it. Yet, I love listening to radio stations that I have pre-programmed on my CD so when I pass through an area that I located a radio station that I just had to remember - I automatically programmed into memory. So, you see that CD player is something that I still love to use.

Besides the music I usually have a bag of chips, or a bag of beef jerky and then a bottle or two of Cola-Cola. I have learned to take a small pillow and that’s that. I also bring my book of Sudoku, but since there is no light to really work from and I am travelling at night I only do Sudoku at the bus station. I do not want to bother the other people in the bus with my light from above me. I realize that is a small focus of light on my seat area, but I know if the tables were turned I would not want to have the light on as I was sitting, sleeping in my seat.

And that composes what I bring and do on my bus trips to and from Albuquerque.

The bus route that I take basically takes me either South or North on I-25 from Denver and Albuquerque. The other buses that leave at different times take a different route. The route zigzags through Colorado and New Mexico since there are other bus stops in the rural area of Colorado during the day. The only route to by pass all those routes is the late night bus. Thank goodness. I know the other route are not that much longer, but only seems that way when you know the bus is taking the road less traveled.

The picture on today's post was intended for an earlier post, but did not happen - so here you go readers. That is a picture of one of the dogs (Our ranch dogs) that I have caught in the middle of a sneeze.

First Snow of the Season in Denver

Greetings People

Today, I have posted a picture of me after going to the store this morning. This is near an area where there is an open area, a dam, a park. My fingerless glove, my Natalie Merchant Stocking cap, my skintight full lycro bike pants, cheap sunglasses, ZZ Top Bandanna and bike bag.

Every Sunday morning I have a ritual that I do when I get up. I must be out the door before 8:00 AM in order to ride to the local restaurant that is sort of nearby and pick up the paper from the vending machine out in front of the restaurant.

Some days I am out the door at 6:00 AM other times I am out the door later.

Yet, this morning I was bit late waking up since I was loading up my brand new Black Ipod late last night, early this morning. Yes! You heard right readers I got a brand new Black Ipod on Friday. 30GB and this time it is BLACK! And thankfully not another Pink Ipod. I picked up/bought the Black Ipod through the work classified Ads. The Black Ipod had never been used and he was looking to unload the Black Ipod for a reasonable amount.

A Black Ipod. Oh yes. The Black Ipod is very cool and I have been trying to load up the Black Ipod, but I got busy Friday night and basically all day Saturday. Then, this morning I was a bit lazy and took a late morning nap. Mainly, I was a bit cold and I curled up into two comforters on the sofa and turned off the TV, but left the stereo on so I could hear the TV. I think I took a hour and a half nap, but does it matter? Nope. I was nestled in my warm cocoon on the couch with the view of the snow blowing from North to South outside my balcony window.

30 GB! This is nothing compared to my Pink 4GB Ipod. Nothing. The 30 GB Black Ipod is like an artist's blank canvas. The possibilities are almost unless - well right now. Yet, I am already up to 2 GB in the past two days. And yes that is not even a quarter of the way. I now have to look for some kind of protector for the Black Ipod in order to protect my new baby.

With the new Black Ipod I decided to stay in last night so I could load up my new Black Ipod. Yet, again I got sidetracked once more. When I made the decision to stay in I went to the grocery store and picked up a few things in order to keep me busy.

I made a decision that on Sunday I was going to have beans all day. The main reason was that the weather forecasters were predicting cold weather and snow at a certain elevation. Needless to say, the snow is in Denver and Centennial once more.

I was going to have Pinto beans for breakfast Sunday morning since I wanted to start them in the crock pot and then Sunday evening I am going to have Chili. After I have my breakfast of Pinto Beans I am going to change the Pinto beans into Chili and that will be Sunday evening meal. Readers, when I typed "going to change" that means I will add stuff in order to make the beans to become chili. I can not magically change beans into Chili. Hah hah. I know that some of you readers will say something like - wow he might be Harry Potter's long lost brother.

I got the stuff (a new Spice and some ground Pork) for the Pinto Beans and then decided to make some salad while getting the beans ready. The green leaf lettuce was about 1. 29 each and I picked up two heads, some mushrooms, package of sprouts, a bunch of radishes (pretty dirty), a bunch of green onions (sorry looking green onions), and a cucumber.

As I was going here and there in the Produce part of the store I saw the Tomatoes. Tomatoes. Hmm. Yep. You guessed it readers. I thought of something else that I could make while doing the Pinto Beans and Salad.

Who knew that I could multi task at home. In the few minutes I was in the Produce area I had an outline on what I am going to do and how to do it.

I grabbed a bag of Tomatoes (I think, tomatoes on a Vine) and then I grabbed a shallot, a bunch of cilantro, a whole garlic, and a white onion.

Let me digress for a moment. Those grocery cashiers probably hate me when I go through their check out line. I usually have about 5 to 20 plastic bags with various items from the Produce department. I think about every time I go into the store I always come out from the Produce area with something I want/need.

I know that the Grocery cash register people that do not know me probably do not care for me doing this. Yet readers! Make sure that you watch the screen and what is being charged. That is where all the fuck ups happen to me. I get charged for Snow Peas when I should have been charged for Broccoli. There is a big difference most of the time. Snow Peas can be 4.99 a pound while Broccoli could be 1.49 a pound. And Broccoli weight more than Snow Peas so you can see how you could be overcharged in error.

Never-the-less I still watch the grocery cashiers I know because they still do make mistakes. I am a penny pincher, but if there is big difference then yes I will make myself heard.

Readers, just watch out when you have alot of Produce that has to be weighed and the cashier has to manually look up the numbers on the wheel/book at their register. They have fast/fat fingers and they do have the tendency to type an incorrect number. One more thing - make sure that they are not charging you for organic if you did not pick up organic vegetables.

Now, back to the story. I went from the Grocery list of Pinto Beans, Salad and Salsa and decided to head out of the Produce section and go get some sourdough bread for my Pinto Bean Breakfast on Sunday. Yummy.

Then, I saw the bag. It was red. It was on the corner end of the aisle. It was on sale. It is something that I like every once in a great while. I swear, I could smell the aroma from the sealed bag. I could literally feel the food between my thumb and forefinger. And the taste. Oh boy. (Sigh) Doritos. Yes Doritos. I am not sure how the desire came, but the craving was unavoidable. And what made it worse was that I was already planning when I could eat the Doritos while making/cooking Saturday night. Note: This is a desire for me, but not very high on the list for me, but this morning I saw the Doritos and I could not resist.

I caved in to my desire and bought one bag of Doritos (I think the price was 2 for $ 5.00). When I got home the bag of Doritos sat on the kitchen counter while I was getting the kitchen ready for me to cook like an Iron Chef. Before I started - I put in the DVD of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and off I went to cook.

Now - Sunday. Yes, I had my Pinto Beans with Sourdough bread this morning and I did change to Chili so I will have that probably during the Baseball Game or the Steeler's vs. Broncos game. I have two containers of salad. And the salsa I made last night had time to set and yummy oh yummy when I had a taste this morning with the bag of tortilla chips I bought this morning.

All in all this is a good weekend.

Until the next time

Lay's Regular Potato Chips

Greetings People

Some things need to be mentioned and other things do not. I am not sure where to begin. But, you know readers I am going to talk about...

I am not sure that this might be the time to talk about it...

Well, time is short this lunch hour so I guess I have some time to thing of something else to write about.

Lay's Potato Chips - Yes, this is the best second best potato chip that I love. I am not sure if they are still using that phrase "so good that you can not just eat one" Anyway, I can not just eat one. I literally could eat an entire large bag of Lay's Regular Chips in one setting. Okay - useless info about me. But a woman's info on me in order to win my heart. =) Have this favorite food of mine in your abode and for sure you will score points in my book.
