T-Minus 14 days and counting

Greetings Readers

I see that The Dallas Cowboys have won once more.

My weekly Sunday run of 8.39 miles was even quicker this week. 1:17.37 I do not remember if I have listed the other times before, but this week I am seven minutes faster than last week and overall 12 minutes faster than two weeks ago. The morning was a bit cooler this week so I put on my light long sleeve biking/running shirt and still wore only my running shorts.

I saw on the Sunday morning news that the Space Shuttle Discovery has started the long "roll" to the launch platform for a Oct 23 launch date.

I really did a workout yesterday at the CAC. I upped some parts of my workout and also increased some weight on others. A couple I lower just 5 pounds. I think I found the perfect workout, for now.

Sorry readers, I guess I have nothing else really to write about.

Until the next time

The Tides Have Turned

Greetings Readers

The past week has been a bit hectic.

I think, my CAC membership has finally paid for itself on Thursday.

I got off work a bit after 5 and was ready to go workout and sit in the dry sauna tonight. I also wanted to really workout and cardio like there was no tomorrow.

As I biked into the parking lot and headed to the entrance I noticed someone I think I recognized from the back right profile. I was not sure, but it looked like one of my old ex-co workers, well a manager I knew, from my previous job going into the CAC.

I rode a bit faster and came upon the guy, I think I knew so I could get a better look. I pull up on the left and said his name. He turned his head pretty quick to his left and then I knew it was him. He said hey or something to that. We made the usual chit chat how's work, still working at the same place? and then "he asks me so what are you doing here?"

I in a jokingly mood said "going to work out my guns" And of course I flexed my right bicep and smiled. He smiled also. I then said I guess I will see you later.

I had to lock up my bike before I could go in the club.

I followed about a minute or so behind him before I got into the locker room. I sort of looked in the locker room when I was getting to a locker, but I did not see him. Hmmm. Was he a fast changer? I do not know. Or perhaps he has to use the toilet.

So, I got out on the floor and did my cardio (pictured is the Cardio room and the TV pictured are gone and have flat screen tvs) and I was doing this for about 45 minutes. I still had not seen him, but then again I was riding the bike machine and facing only one direction.

I got done, then decided to take a stroll around to see where he is at. I looked here and there, but I still did not see him. Hmmm. I guess he worked out fast or perhaps he had a limited time to work out. Oh well, it is not like I knew, knew him. I was not looking to talk to him.

I decided to work on my abs on the incline bench in the weight room. I am going through my reps and as I was on 14 or so I noticed one of the employees making their rounds. I have not paid attention to them since I first started.

Why? Well, I never noticed in clubs that how this club is different from other clubs. When, I was first trying this place out I noticed how "those" people are there to clean up and to keep the place clean. Yes. If I pay over a thousand dollars on a health membership I want it all. I want the place to be clean and also respectable. Again, I can only assume, but the help are ethnic and of the Mexican variety. Yes, I could be wrong, but that is the way they appear to me and also when they talk when I give them the "respect" I have to in the club.

Getting back to the ab incline... I noticed the same profile I noticed when I first biked into the club. Wow! The person with the broom and keys, etc is the same person I knew at my old place of working. I could not fucking believe it. I quickly looked away and worked more on my abs. It was sort of uncomfortable seeing someone doing what I would never dream of. I think we did lock eyes, but perhaps not. I am thinking back on this and not really sure. I guess I was so caught off guard.

Yet, I bet the situation was very embarrassing for him. Me, a member. Him, an employee. And of course we me being some much below him, in the working world, I bet it pained him to see me enjoying, working out at him have to technically clean up after me.

I know there could be many, many reason why he is an employee. Needs a second job. Wife may be spending more money than he can make. Perhaps he gets a discount on his membership there. Likes to look at men. Likes to look at women. So many reasons.

In closing, if I should see him again now we know who sits where on the "ladder of respect" I have to say that on Friday I was walking around with my nose in the air, once more.

Until the next time

New Bike Seat & Tail Lights

Greetings Readers

The night as started coming earlier and earlier and yes I had to go to the bike store and buy a couple of taillights. I can at least thank the biking gods that the lights were on sale.

I just did not want to spend the money that I had to in order to put some taillights on my bikes. I know what you are probably thinking. He has ten bikes and he still has to buy some taillights. Well yes. It is sort of that "one sock lost in the dryer". Somehow, between the time that I take off the taillight in Spring and the time now, Fall, the tail lights mysteriously disappear. Most of them are not the Cat eye brand so I could care less about losing them. But the Cat eye's that I do own I watch out for them carefully. Matter of fact the lights go right next to my Tour de France water bottles.

I digress. So I bought some tail lights and I will install them tonight when I get home. Wait! I never told you readers that about a month or two months ago I saw a seat, bike seat, that was in the bargain bin. Anyway, at that time it was about 60 dollars. The seat was apparently long forgotten on some high shelf and was found back then when they decided to clear and check inventory. So, the bike seat itself was about two years old and they want half price of the same brand of seat they were trying to compare to. I almost bit, but I did not. So, I browsed the bargain bin once more tonight and behold the same seat I saw one or two months ago was on sale for $ 25.00. Wait! The bargain bin said "make an offer, no reasonable offer refused."

I said would you take $ 20.00 for the seat? Guess what I got a brand new seat for $ 20.00 and the seat is Selle San Marco. My favorite brand of seat.

Woo Hoo.

A question readers. I was watching FOX news local in Denver and my ever so favorite Heidi (yes being sarcastic) was reporting the news on Arapahoe Basin and what new thing was installed this year. Anyway, the she was reading away and then she said something to the effect. Arapahoe Basin was sure not to upset the balance of the Ecosystem. Now, here is where I got a bit confused. She pronounced ecosystem like "Echo-system" and not like "EEcoe-system". Is this something like "potatoe" and "potato" and "tomatoe" and "tomato"? I just do not know. I thought about writing about this since I love "to call" on FOX's news I hear before work. I might have to pull out my trusty 6 inch dictionary.
Update 09/29/07: I found a picture of the tail lights that I bought this day.

That's a Lot of Calories for a Meal

Greetings Readers

I was in a gambling mood yesterday, but in addition I wanted (Desired) some junk food - Especially a burger. Well, after I did some biking and a few stops I decided on Burger King. I have not been in for a while to eat. I was set on having the Double Whopper. But. I saw the combo menu and my eyes set upon the Triple Whopper Combo. Wow. My eyes lit up and not to mention I made my decision right there. Gambling and food may go in hand, but after reading this post you may think otherwise.

Holy fucking Shit! After almost, almost finishing the Triple Whopper, King size Fries and King size Dr Pepper (1 and a half cups worth) I was full. Yes, very full. I only left two bites from the burger I ordered. I am not sure how I biked home, but at least the way home was basically all downhill. Now, before writing this blog I did the research my Combo meal I had yesterday and the Triple Whopper has 1230 Calories alone. Granted, mine was probably less than that since I had no cheese. Only lettuce, mustard, pickles on my hamburger. Yes - my way! 1230 fucking calories (I think). Wait readers - The King size fries I consumed had 600 calories (not including a few dips in ketchup!) and the King size Dr Pepper was 380 Calories!

I just went to the website and I see that you can "build your meal" and see the calorie total of your meal. I just finished and I was able to include everything except Mustard, but the grand total of the meal I had yesterday afternoon... (drum roll) 1930 Calories! (total Fat 90, total protein 72, total carbs 217) I can not believe this total. This is nothing compare to the total amounts of bottles of Coca-Cola I was drinking each day before I joined the CAC.

Anyway, posted on my blog for today is a picture of that "bad boy". No. I do not watch my calories. But I was really curious on how many calories I had consumed yesterday. Well, I definitely learned something and it was not for the good.

So readers, I have "healthily"educated you on something that is probably not good for you. That is if you are trying to watch your calories, or anything you think could be detrimental to your own goals. Yeah, that's it.

Oh? What? Why of course, I did go running this morning 8.39 miles once more and I was five minutes faster. I was actually feeling pretty good this morning and not to mention I was looking forward to beating my time from last week. Time is getting very short and I need to see if I am physically ready for 24hrs of Boulder. Mentally I am, always am.

I just saw a new commercial for Southpark and whew wee! Cartman has Tourette's Syndrome. The new season begins October 3, 2007.

Lastly, The Autumnal Equinox happened today, this morning, on 09/23/07 at 3:51 AM MST). Today is only one of two days that both night and day are about the equal amount of time, Meaning 12 hours of daylight, 12 hours of nighttime. Yes readers, I need to put the headlight and taillights on my bike(s) and get ready. And now, only three more months until the shortest amount of daylight in a year.

On the Eve of Fall 2007

Greetings Readers

Once again we are at the time of the year. We are on the eve of fall and the season has come to Colorado in the past two weeks. Pretty soon I will have to put the towel at the front door so I do not track in the rain and snow onto the carpet when I bring my bikes in.

I am not sure what to write. I having something to share. Okay, The days have gotten shorter, which means I am almost to the favorite part of the days. I like the early morning and sunset rides. The sky is dark, but the only light is coming from the orange "glow" on the horizon. Sure it is a bit dark, but this is time of tranquility for me. As I have written before - This is my time.

In addition, after the sun peaks over the horizon or just about to set I like seeing my long shadow on the ground. For me to my shadow on the ground stretched longer than me is pretty cool. I actually get to see what I look like on a bike. More importantly I like looking at my bike(s) in the shadow.

I guess I do have something else to say. Can you say "Finally" Jeeze-fucking-Louise I am not sure how long the Columbine Memorial took, but sure has been many, many years. And I do not mean to disrespect anyone, but how many people showed up at the opening on Friday? I think someone estimated about a thousand another journalist said a couple hundred. Thinking about this I would think there would be more, but then again I think the whole thing was a crock. One delay after another and then "they" got their act in gear when the "Soldier statue" was put up faster than the Columbine Memorial. I will go see the Memorial, but only when I am in the area, which I have not been for quite a few years. I do not care the way the Memorial looks. I think it is nestled in some hills, or perhaps in the ground. "Rings" are the designs and I do not think that there are any crosses. Readers - I trying to find some "clear" picture of the Memorial, but alas I am having trouble. There are videos and video, but I fucking could care less. I posted a partial view of the Memorial on today's post,

Well, another short entry, but I guess I need to get going so I can take advantage of the nice weather in Colorado. Tomorrow the cold and rain in suppose to move in.

Update: The Columbine Memorial was 8 years in the works. That is a fucking a lot of time for an event that was the worst school shooting in history. In my personal opinion, the Memorial is not something that makes me want to go and see it right now. Matter of fact I can not see any clear pictures of the Memorial.

Until the next time

A Guilty Verdict

Greetings Readers

I will mention that on Thursday the verdict was announced on Floyd Landis. If any of you faithful readers know then it is old news, but Floyd Landis (pictured on today's post) was found guilty and will have to give up his victory of the Tour de France 2006. Landis will get the two year ban and if I were him - start it right away. Just start the ban and accept it. In reality no one cares now since he has been found guilty and to/will be stripped of the Tour de France Winner. People will remember that from here on out. No changing history. I have some thoughts, but I am not sure if I should share or not. It is irrelevent and only matters to me.

Guess what readers - I got me another bottle of Single Barrel Jack Daniels. Yes, I am so happy. Now, I do not have to conserve the bottle I have open in the fridge. Which in the past three months or longer I have had only 5 or 6 oz. of the Single Barrel.

And another morning I rode in bike shorts and a bike jersey. I really like the warm air that is being blown in from the south (Mexico jet stream). The mornings have been nice for the past few days. Of course, this will all change on Sunday when the weather will turn for the worst.

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia - and last night's two new episode were also messed up. We learned a couple of new things and also did not want to learned other new things. The episode is fairly new so I will not get into the storyline in case any of my readers do watch the show, but have not gotten to watch this week's new episodes.

From Good to Worst in a Day

Greetings Readers

Today was the first morning that I grew some cojones and just when out in my bike jersey and shorts. A bit cool to start off, but once I started to work up my heart rate and sweat I was actually okay. This is also means I a lot less gear to haul home.

Outside My Window

Greetings Readers

The mornings are most definitely colder. I have only ridden with long pants for two days out of the past two weeks. I am not ready to relinquish my bike shorts. I still want to show off my taunt thighs and heart shaped calves. Oh yes. What was that phrase I heard - If you got it, flaunt it. You women know this pretty well, I think. Believe me I notice what you flaunt if you have it. Unless I strain myself trying to figure out if you have it, but are not flaunting it. Yes, yes I know that is not right, but sometime I can not help myself.

Gosh. I am already getting sidetracked. I have started to wear my long sleeve running jersey underneath my bike jerseys. I have not seen the "hot breath" from the cold air yet, but give Colorado another two weeks or so and pretty soon I will see that little wisp of hot air coming from my mouth. My bike gloves are okay. I am going to have to get my autumn and winter bikes ready and put all other bikes away for storage since spring and summer are almost over. Yes readers I am that analytical about my bikes and yes I even have choices on what bikes, plural, that I can ride and when. I do not believe in the one bike for a purposes mentality.

Yet, I am a one-woman guy. Go figure out that conundrum.

I worked out at the CAC last night, but I did a quick hour and three-quarter workout. I couldn't stay long last night so I sort of rushed myself through the workout.

Cycling news - Floyd Landis and his "innocence" will be determined within the next week. I had heard that we could learn the fate of him on Thursday, but someone had stated that there are 10 days for the committee to make a decision. And should Floyd not like that decision then he can file to the CAS (I think). What? I think he is guilty. I have my reasons, but I am not going to relate them to you readers until the case is officially over. Unless, I mentioned them in the past since the incident happened.

Tiesto - You readers may know that this is the only really person that I listen to while riding. He has the 6th edition of the In Search of Sunrise - Ibiza (ISOS 6) is coming out in a few days or so. You bet that I am going to get this CD. Of course, I will have to eliminate more songs from my Pink Ipod to accommodate the ones I will have to load up. I never even dreamed that 4GB would not be enough storage for me.

And getting to the title of the post. In the past week I have noticed that the tree is starting to turn yellow on one side and slowly spreading to the entire tree. Also, a dead leaf fell, blew right in front of me while on my balcony. The Fall season has made its presence known and I/we have to say goodbye to the summer of 2007.

Prison Break - I guess it was okay, but I went into the show for this new season being very skeptical about where the show is going and what is going to happen. So, I saw what I wanted to see and made that the issue of pointing out this and that. There may have been some good things, but I would have to re-watch the episode. I mean, come on, the guy breaking out of prison. He has not ate but managed to kick out the metal screen, drop a few feet, and sort of run. But, then the camera pans to Michael and Bellick and they both have this "surprised" and "Oh my gosh" look on their faces like this was something unexpected. Pul-lease. Then Michael fighting that one guy. The "punches" he acted were not even real. We viewers saw a Michael throwing the punch, but then as the connected hit would happen the camera changes view and then the next scene shows the other acting like he got hit. It was too obvious for me to notice. I will stop, but that was only the tip of what I noticed. I do not want to ruin the experience for you viewers. I will try and change my view next week and give the show a chance once more.

Until the next time

And 6 days later...

Greetings Readers

Well, as the title states - 6 days later and Davenport can add another title to her career after having a baby. Let me tell you readers I did not doubt her playing. I knew her shot at winning a tennis tournament, especially this one, was pretty darn good. Way to go Lindsay. I do not have nothing else to contribute to this story. Pretty straight forward. And I know that you may know the person pictured since I have pictured her twice in a week, but I have to once more - holding the winner's trophy - Linsday Davenport.

New trailers for Nip / Tuck - Oct 30 have started running on FX this past week. Oh, I can not wait. What is in store for Christian and Sean? And how many of the cast are going to be in Nip / Tuck - LA? I do hope Liz comes with them. McNamara / Troy would not be the same without her, in my opinion.

How fucked up was It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on Thursday's premiere. I was glad to see the cast once more and I was also very glad to see many of the secondary characters showing up already.

I went for a morning run this morning - 8.39 miles. I just wanted to see how out of shape on my running I am. Granted, I worked out at the CAC on Saturday. Matter of fact I think that this is going to be a regular thing that I am going to do on Saturday. I like the afternoons and basically the place is empty. When I left the club that evening I saw a pretty woman walking in and I actually raised my hand to her and waved and smiled. She smiled and waved back at me. I guess working out had raised my confidence in myself with the "opposite" sex. I will have to admit that working out regularly has raised myself to the opposite sex and I have been noticing them much, much more.

A bit of news that is not news worthy. However, if you live in Denver and ate out at Bennett's Barbeque Pit down in Lonetree well the place of business has closed up. There is a paper sign on the door that says the place closed down, thank you very much, etc and Sept 4 was the last day of business. The sign then directs you to the only other two places in Colorado. Kind of a sad story. Bennett's was located on Arapahoe Road and then whether or not they sold out or perhaps their rent was raised the place moved from Arapahoe to Park Meadows Drive in Lonetree. The building was a lot smaller and the place also had a different "feel". It was not the Bennett's of the 1980's. I have to say that Bennett's Fucked up when they moved the place from Arapahoe to Lonetree.

Half way Point

Greetings Readers

I just loaded an "element" onto the bottom of my page. I just wanted to see how it would look and also if it would work. Behold - yes it did. I do not expect to keep it on very long, but I will see how it plays into my blog

And yes. Lindsay took down Janovic at the Bali Tournament 6-4, 2-6, & 6-2 not to mention Eleni Daniilidou 6-2, 6-2. That's my girl. Welcome back to tennis and taking down a top ten woman on your return to the WTA. And today, well as of right now Davenport took down Sara Errani 6-1, 6-3 . Onto the Finals - girl. Yes Lindsay is pictured on my post for today.

Well, I have nothing more to say so I am going to call it.
Sort of an update - I posted a few articles on Sportingo.com and my last article has 33 comments on. I guess I am pretty impressed with myself. I am happy that people have commented on something that comment worthy.

Finder's Keepers

Greetings Readers

I guess let me set the scene. Me and Tracey were biking along Dry Creek road this morning heading to work...

Side note - When you are cycling in the city or out in the suburbs you tend to find a lot of things in the gutters or on the road. Well, besides the literal trash (fast food leftovers a plenty) I find money (And yes I pick up every fucking penny!) A penny is a penny and a quarter is a quarter. Legal tender baby. There is also work gloves, clothes, pens, those "little" American flags that people stick on their vehicles, car emblems, hats, dead birds, squashed squirrels and roadkill rabbits and then my favorite - cell phone remains. I am not sure why there is cell phone remains at almost every corner. I see them, but that is about all I do. I could care less about if they work or not.

... when I noticed what looked to be another cell phone that was destroyed and ended up in the gutter. I gave the item a secondary look and proceeded to continue East on Dry Creek. As I was turning my head forward I noticed that the item reflected a lot more light than a cell phone should. I immediately stopped and pulled onto the sidewalk. I walked back to the where I saw the item. I looked closer and bent down to pick up the item. Lo and Behold - it is a camera. A digital camera. A nice digital camera, according to my co-workers. I have to say it is nice now. I did some research at lunch and I did find that the camera does retail for over $ 200.00 (Sorry readers, I can not be specific should someone says it is their camera they will need to identify the camera).

Now, the questions of morals come into play. What is the right thing to do. What should I do. What does my background tell me to do. Yes, interesting questions.

I do have to say that there are two people walking around in the world with two pairs of Oakleys M Frame Sunglasses that I left/lost and someone did not return to me.

To me, this item could be justification of those two Oakleys I lost in the past 6 years.

Anyhow, I will most likely keep this and learn more about it. I am not a digital fan - I am old school. I believe in the 35mm and still use to this day. I know there is a difference, but I can not tell you from experience, since I have never had a digital camera. I guess I will see and perhaps my pictures will come from that. As oppose to the picture discs that I get when I turn in my 35mm film for processing.

Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas to me. Right?

I worked out at CAC tonight and I did a pretty good work out. I enjoyed the workout since I new I had a "new" gift to play with tonight. Woo Hoo. Also my biceps are definitely getting bigger. I can actually see and feel it. What did my co-worker say once? Oh "Thunder" & "Python"

I have also decided that I am going to try the 24 hours of Boulder. I have started the training already in the past week and I think that I should be in okay condition by next month. Here is the website in case any of you readers are interested www.geminiadventures.com. This will be "a walk in the park"

Today only - there is no Title

Greetings Readers

Well, as you have noticed - there is the new movie title for the fourth installment of the Indiana Jones adventure. You know I am happy, but I am not sure if Harrison Ford's age will work for the movie. Yes, it has been years and years.

Matter of fact I still have my original movie ticket for the third movie I bought two months in advanced. I saw the movie at the Century movie theatre that was located on Colorado Blvd and Louisana (I think). Of course, times have changed the movie theatre is gone and the last time I checked there was a Soundtrack Store there (well Ultimate Electronics bought out Soundtrack recently). The movie ticket I have is colored, specially made for the premiere event. It is made out of a light posterboard material.

Jenny's Market apparently has a sale going on this month on my favorite drink. $ 1.13 (in my area) for 1 liter of Coca-Cola. Woo Hoo. I even saw "my" employee, but also the Hungarian employee. I went to the gal I know and ignored the Hungarian woman.

I worked out at CAC. Another good evening and I enjoyed my couple hours there last evening. Let me tell you folks my biceps are definitely getting bigger. Of course, nothing like 21 inch "Guns", but who knows I might get there =).

As I was biking home after working out it was that time of the day that I enjoy the most. Well, not necessary the time of the day, but the time of the day that the sky is the most beautiful. Either before sunrise or after sunset there is a time that the the sky is a deep orange on the horizon. If you stick you hand out 12 inches in front of you and spread your index finger and thumb to about 2 or 3 inches and measure the orange on the horizon (from the horizon line going up) that is time of day I enjoy the most. Right above the orange is a dark deep blue then after that is the coming dark of the night sky. If I had to label that moment - Tranquility. I have to admit I even take out my ear phone so I enjoy this time of the day. Sound has nothing to the moment, but never-the-less I do not want to be distracted by music.

I thought to share that since I rarely get to enjoy that moment at evening. I usually see that moment in the morning.

Riding in the Drizzling Rain

Greetings Readers

Today's morning ride was met with steady drizzle on the way to work. It was a light drizzle, but the drizzle quickly soaked my outfit to my skin. All in all, I still enjoyed the ride. I did not even bother with the sunglasses this morning. The morning ride in the rain was something I wanted to see.

The morning's starting temperature was 47 degrees and it is only suppose to get into the 60's today. A sure drastic change for us Coloradans. Fall has cometh. I even had to close my bedroom window to about an inch open. Yes, I was cold last night. I almost had two put two comforters on me earlier this morning. No cold, but being just a bit warm would of have been nice.

I wished a former co-worker a happy b-day. No, not an excuse to just say/write something to her. I figure every now and then it is sometimes "nice" to hear from someone you have not heard from in a while. Nope, not a old flame, but someone I had thought about in the very beginning when we sort of worked together, but in the end it was just acquaintances in my view. Nothing more. I was friends with her, but kept my distance. Yes, by choice. Nope readers, there is nothing more to tell you about her. Well, nothing that you think you know =).

Tomorrow is the anniversary of the United States, so to speak. If you do not live in America then you probably do not know. Tomorrow is the day the World Trade Centers fell. I will not talk about the day nor get into that topic tomorrow. I will however watch the VCR recording I made of the day - not all 4 tapes though. I of course remember where I was and I actually saw the second plane crash into the second tower on TV. That image just blows me away.

Anyway, I think we have recovered as a Nation. If there are scheduled events so be it, but... Never mind, I will let it be.

Pictured on my post today is Lindsay Davenport. I am really glad to see her picture gracing the news. Apparently, she is competing in a tournament(s) so she can get into the Bejing Olympics. That's my girl - Davenport. Welcome Back - if it matters - I missed you and you playing on the courts!

US Open 2007 - Day 14

Greetings Readers

Let me begin with Justine Henin winning the Women's singles Championship at the 2007 US Open last night. I had no doubt. Yet, she did a little shaky after that fan yelled out on her serve for the match. I could not fucking believe it. If I remember correctly, she put a few double faults in after that incident. All is well though. A second time winner of the US Open. Pictured on my blog was her opponent - Svetlana Kuznetsova. Later today is the Men's Final. I want Djokovic to win, but it may be a long shot. Depending on the weather, in my opinion.

Alright, I have a something to share. I went out to work at Colorado Athletic Club (CAC) that I recently became a member of. Let me tell you, there were a few people, but the place was pretty much empty. I did cardio for about an hour. I was do cardio while watching the Federer vs. Davydenko match. I then used the machines for about another hour, then I did the sauna and the whirlpool. Wow. I loved it. There were a couple of member in there, but this time I was not a visitor - I am a member. What a feeling. That was about all I did on Saturday afternoon.

After CAC I knew I had to go to Best Buy since I had gone to Target earlier that day to get a couple of DVD sets. I managed to get the Limited Edition of "Nip/Tuck - Season 4" at Target, but the "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Season 1 & 2" was sold out. I decided that after going to workout I would make a detour and go to Best Buy. I got to Best Buy and instead of just getting what I want - I browsed around. I looked at the DVD-recorders, the discs, some music and then the computer games. About 15 minutes later I was done, so I got what I needed and proceeded to the check out area.

When I got there I noticed there was a fairly attractive girl, in my view of course, standing in line. I noticed her eyebrows and then the rest of the face. Sorry readers, I do not know why I noticed her eyebrows, but I have to say that they did look good. Well, good enough for me to get my attention. She was standing in line with a guy, I presumed her boyfriend, and they were second in line waiting for an open register. I was a bit interested so after turning some corners and stood in line I sneaked a look at her. She had on some short and her thighs were what I noticed next. Granted, the glance was about 2 or 3 seconds, but I got enough. After the quick glance I looked everywhere else but her. But. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed that she was glancing at me a couple of times. I knew that she was being very, very careful so she would not draw the attention of the guy that she was with. However, I did notice. I did not want her to notice that I noticed, so I played my looking around as just waiting for the next register to become available.

Then, the girl and the guy go to the register to the right of the line. The person in front of me waited about 10 seconds and he when to the next register to the left. That left me in front of the waiting line and I was looking for the next register to open. The guy was doing the buying meanwhile the girl was next to him. But then. She steps away from him and turns to me casually. We are about 8 feet away. We lock eyes for a second or two and then she flashed me a big o smile, then it was gone just like that. I smile pretty big right back to her, knowing what she was doing. The guy finishes up and then they were headed on out. There was nothing I could do or say at that moment so I enjoyed it for what it was. She liked the way I look. Enough said. hah hah.

I forgot to mention in the past week Fall as definitely made an appearance. I actually wore my long biking pant, my long sleeve shirt and two of the past seven days I slept with my comforter as opposed to my thin bed sheet. Yes, the mornings have gotten cool. I also noticed that the sun is shining on my north wall in the morning as opposed to the West wall. You know readers - the Earth is in the orbit that make the sun go towards the south. Yesterday and today were actually mild days.

Until the next time

US Open 2007 - Day 13

Greetings Readers

Well, I have won another bet - since Justine Henin won yesterday's tennis match against Venus Williams. I did not find out until this morning. I wanted to be surprised and also I was not ready to lose another bet. The Men's Semi-Finals are going on this Saturday Morning in the Mountain Time Zone. Yes - that is Justine Henin pictured on my blog post for today.

The work week has come to a close and whew what a week it has been. I was going to blog about my early morning bike ride that I had Thursday's morning, but other things were going on and I could not make time to write. The morning was one of the events in your life that you really do not get everyday. I knew that there was a cold front moving into Colorado on Thursday morning I just was not sure when the front was to make its appearance.

So, that morning I got my rain gear and proceeded to go out outside. I see that the rain clouds were directly over me, but that is where the clouds were. To the East the sky was partially clear and the sun was shining the early morning rays as it was rising over the horizon. I rode about 100 yards when the rain started to fall. Basically a light rain was starting. The morning air was warming up and I was in heaven. I loved the feel of the light rain falling on my arms while the sun was shining ever so brightly. As most of you readers know when the rain falls the sun in above the clouds. Today the clouds were there, but the sun had just made Dawn and the effect on me was serene.

With the sun shining so bright and a light rain was falling I took my time riding to work and just enjoyed the time that I had that morning. I even took off my sunglasses so I could take in everything around me.

T
hat in a nut shell was a nice morning that I wanted to share with you readers.

That cow, you know readers, that Dairy cow that is outside Oscar's almost everyday. Well, Oscar's have put a banner on that cow for advertising of something. Nope. I did not look closely.

However, you know how much I just love that cow. Well, I am currently researching to see if Oscar can display advertising that big. Of course, if Oscar is breaking some sort of city code then by all means I want the city to know about it. Yep, that is me on this particular issue.

Oh, I finally made the front page, sort of, on the website that I joined recently http://www.sportingo.com/. I am very happy about making this part of the website. I know the article was hastily put together, but it was the way I felt and time was of the essence. I have included a screen print of my article The article is located in the bottom right of the picture "Is Novak Djokovic's clowning around a back-handed slap in the face?".

US Open 2007 - Day 12

Greetings Readers

I laughed and then I really laughed last night. I got home last night just in time for the Novak Djokovic vs. Carlos Moya match. Nothing spectacular about the match itself. 6-4, 7-6(7) & 6-1. Well, beside finishing the match in three sets as opposed to 4 or 5 sets at 3 to almost 5 hours long matches.

When it was time for the post game interview. Everything was same ole same old, then the interviewer asked Novak (Pictured on my post today) if he could do some impersonations.

That's where the interview got interesting. Real interesting.

I can not remember how the impersonations got started, but when the name "Sharapova" was said I immediately perked up. Djokovic tucked in his shirt into his short, hiked up his shorts, rolled his socks down to his ankles and proceeded to warm up for a tennis serve as Maria Sharapova.

I wish I could visually described the scene. Djokovic hopping at the back of the baseline, primping his hair, bouncing his serve as Sharapova and executing the serve as Sharapova. As American Express would probably label "Priceless"

But, it was not over. As soon as Djokovic got done with the act - # 2.

"Nadal"

I actually yelled "yeah!" and I knew from the bottom of my heart on which part of Nadal that Djokovic was going to impersonate to a "T".

So, Djokovic un-tucked his shirt then pulled his tennis shorts way down so they were down to his knees if not below them. He pulled up his socks rolled up his sleeves and then it was showtime once more Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City. Djokovic did a couple of squats at mid court and sprinted to the back of the court and danced back and forth like a boxer getting ready to fight. Djokovic's back was to the tennis court so all you could see was his back, but a very boxing feel to the scene. He then proceeded to wipe his hair from his face, bounced his serving ball on the baseline and then...

Boo yah! And I mean Boo-yah! I was yelling along with Arthur Ashe Stadium on Djokovic's next impersonation of Nadal. Djokovoc grabbed his shorts from the back and yanked exaggeratedly as Nadal does when he pulls on his shorts. Djokovic then yanks the front of his short while standing on one leg to "adjust" his tennis short just to make of the adjustment. The noise from the crowd was loud.

"Priceless". Yes, I was laughing, I was cheering, I am still laughing, but yes it may have been in poor taste. I do feel Nadal will extract repercussions on their next meeting on the court. Until then, Djokovic showed us viewers what we see and none of the "well known" commentators do not/will not talk about.

US Open 2007 - Day 11

Greetings Readers

You Readers may be new readers or you may be seasoned readers of my blog. I do not know. I am not sure how some of you feel about me or even think about me. Do I care? Yes and No. It is a blog, therefore I am telling the Internet world about myself. I am not going to call you mean or think any less of you should you leave a comment on my blog. I have the option to delete the comment, but I never have. Also, only register people can leave comments.

There is a sub-point to me mentioning the comment thing and that is referring to the Author who got a "mean comment" on the author's blog. The Author then needed to justify the "mean comment" made by another blogger on the Author's post and make the Author's audience feel sympathy for the Author. A "woo is me" attitude. Not this guy.

I have been pretty much open to you readers. Besides giving my place of residence or where I work. I need to keep some things to myself. I do not want any retributions you may feel that I deserve from what you read or any lusty women at my doorstep. (though would be nice to meet someone new-if you're a CA Blonde type step to the front of the door) I digress.

Anyway, so there I was in Jenny's Market (pictured - it even looks like the store, my store, I visit) this morning getting my usual drink and also the drink I had to buy since I lost a bet last night (courtesy of Venus Williams).

I walk up to the counter and I see that there is a new lady at the register. Well, I would not say new, but about week or so new to me. Anyway, as you readers know I have changed to Jenny's Market due to an incident at 7-11 that has left a bad taste in my mouth. Per choice of my part. Remember readers, I am "the consumer" in the store and I do not have to so any more than I have to. Remember, you are there to help, assist the customer and more importantly getting paid to work there. Remember the motto - "the customer is almost always right" However, If I do more than I need to in the store, then that means you made an impression on me, I like you, I got a little something-something the night before or I was just being plain cordial. Who in the fuck knows. I only know when I get to the store and approach the counter.

Sure I might wake up in a bad mood, but that could soon disappear once I start riding. Or perhaps, I was in a good mood and I got into a verbal alteration while biking (yes, it is true folks ) that turns my good mood to a bad mood.

Getting back to the story. I go up to the counter and set down my items I am going to buy. I see that the totals are usually $ 1.61 or something to that nature. (i.e. $ 2.81). Well, all of the other employees (I only know 2 other employees) at Jenny's Market know me and usually say "oh I saw a penny in the parking lot." and they will usually cover the penny and I get all silver coins back. I say I guess, but there is no guessing, I have been taking advantage of the "penny" that they pitch in for me so they can give me all silver coins back. Perhaps they do not want to deal with the copper coins either. Also, they know that I am now a faithful customer so they are "chipping in the penny" so I will continue to come back to Jenny's Market. Yet, I do not know.

Anyway, the point is I was assuming that they would "chip in the penny". Well, the new lady (I am assuming that she is Hungarian descent/immigrant) is not "chipping in the penny" for me and giving me back exact change.

Hence, I am pissed off at her for not "chipping in the penny". In reality, I have no right to be getting pissed at her. I have the right not to make "small talk" to her. Of course, the may be the opening line that will make her "chip in the penny" for me. Who knows. This realization came to me after today's visit at Jenny's Market. So, perhaps if I have not already been put on her shit list then I will try to be a bit more friendly than I need to be. Otherwise, readers - Yes, I was/am being a dick about this issue.

US Open - Woo Hoo - Roddick got eliminated (but I am not really, really jumping for joy). He actually tried to keep playing and to me he did not appear to give up at all. Nor did he seem to lose his cool. Kudos on that, in my book! Oh Jelena had a chance, but was not meant to me and good for Venus to advance. However, "It's On!" for my next bet with Henin J. vs. Williams V. "It's on like Donkey Kong"

US Open 2007 - Day 10

Greetings Readers

Today, Monica Seles is pictured on my blog. I think that we have the same hair color. =) She is getting more gorgeous than ever. She has aged very good, in my view.

Nadal and "picking his shorts out of the crack of his ass" got eliminated last night. Boo-yah! And I also won my first bet of the the U.S. Open. courtesy of Justinne Henin. Double Boo-yah! Peer got eliminated today. And Davydenko, whom I have given the name "The Siberian Express" has moved onto the semi-finals. I have no idea if he came from that part of Russia, but the Siberian Express seems to fit him perfectly.

I have a bet for tonight's game - Venus vs. Jankovic and I know on paper that Jankovic is ranked 3, but Venus is much better.

Prison Break, third season, is coming back this month - I think Sept 24. Then, this week was the release of Nip/Tuck season 4 and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 1/2 together sets are now available.

Sorry about not posting regular updates about the US Open, the announcers have sort of thrown a wrench into my viewing. I am watching matches here and there, but to be honest I am listening to usopen.org radio. The announcers and the guest announcers for the day are a fresh voice and not to mention un-bias opinion on almost every player. So, watching the match is really an option when I have already listened to the matches that were broadcast over the Internet.

Time for me to go

US Open 2007 - Day 9

Greetings Readers

I just saw that there is a trailer for "The Mist" by Stephen King. Very Interesting trailer - scheduled release date is November 21. I am sure that the movie will sort of be based on the short story. However, the Mist was a short story and pretty good. Not the ending you may want to read about, but sure makes you think on what would you do in a situation for yourself/family/love one(s). I know that the story made me think about what I would do and who I might be left with and what to do next. The trailer sort of kept to that story line, but I think I see that there is an added element. I like the background music of the trailer. Makes the trailer much more spooky. The music really only has a few keys to me and then picks up toward the end, but never-the-less I can hear the same chords over and over which makes the score good, to me. Here is the website address - http://www.themist-movie.com/

I have a huge purple bruise on my left thigh. I could not sleep on that side of my body so I had to sleep on my right side. Otherwise, I think I am okay. No real soreness. A couple of scabs now. I think I really have made a couple of good scars in the making. In case you readers need some back history I was in a bike accident, by myself, while turning a corner. Going pretty fast on tires that I was not familiar with. My bad. Or as my old boss would say "Sucks to be you. Hah hah." I did make a blog entry so you can read my post on on the post accident. Last day in August.

The U.S. Open - Interesting Friday, Saturday & Sunday. I watched some of the matches, but otherwise I did some slow paced laps at Cherry Creek. I saw a few macthes, but I think I was most annoyed at Jim Courrier. I really can not explain the attitude that he is giving Tracy Austin. It seems to me that anything Tracey says Jim has to "contradict" whatever she says or make some issue about whatever Tracey says. Annoying to say the least.

I think most of you readers know my stance on the "other" announcers, but I have not put Jim into that group. However, after this U.S. Open I might have to. I hope that no one at USA Network told Jim to make himself get "into" it with Tracey Austin.

I, of course, heard that 7 letter word from Mary C. I heard Tracy say "Special" 4 times in less than a minute, J Mac refering to himself and comparing himself to the present players and age. And I heard "Epic" over and over from almost every announcer at the U.S. Open. I also did not care for the announcer in the corrider leading into Arthur Ashe Stadium. Always asking about their opinion other players and not about the upcoming match that he/she is about to play with the other opponent. Why ask that of the players when what matters how they feel about their match?

Well, I got to get going.

Note - Update 7:40 PM (MST) - I have got my first bet of the U.S. Open. It is Williams vs. Henin. I, of course, took Henin. I am hoping for the best for myself on this outcome! I need redemption.

Until the next time

US Open 2007 - Day 6

Greetings Readers

I made myself go out and ride with Andrea for a couple of hours even though I wanted to watch some, actually all, of the US Open Tennis yesterday. My girl Hingis was eliminated as well as Sharapova. Blake won as well as Peer! Oh yeah!

Woo Hoo! Not only did Sharapova get eliminated she got her ass kicked and not kissed. Fuck all the announcers saying over and over that she only lost two sets since yesterday. I do not dispute that, but she has been playing "nobodies" and that would help her achieve the only 2 set lost so far. So, she played the 30Th rank seed in the US Open Agnieszka Radwanska. Radwanska is pictured on my blog today.

So, I decided to a couple of laps around Cherry Creek Reservoir. I had forgot that this weekend was the 2ND Annual 24 hours of Triathlon. Here is the website address, but as of this posting the link is not working www.24hoursoftriathlon.com.

As I entered the Cherry Creek Reservoir I see the big orange sign indicating that the Triathlon event was in process. I saw the course was in my way I was going to ride in the park. I rode up to a volunteer and asked if I was okay to ride or if the course was closed or was there a detour that I must take.

He indicated that the course was an open course, just be mindful of the racers. I said not a problem and even offered to go elsewhere. He said not a problem just be aware and do not race the racers. You appear to be a racer yourself and I know you may want to see who is faster.

I rode cautiously onto the open course and proceed to ride. I saw the bib racers and they did look like racers. I saw some "awesome" looking rims and wheel sets. After about 5 miles I reached the running course so I made sure that I yielded to the ride of way to the racers. After they past I continued onward. All in All I was mistaken as a racer about 3 times. Damn. Do I have that look? Did I ride like I should be in the event? Who knows.

I stopped here and there and looked at the running course and the swimming course. Not too bad. I even got a bit reminiscent about my past - 2 years ago.

The event started at 8:00 AM on Saturday and supposedly ended at 8 AM this morning. The day was okay with some scattered rain showers here and there. A nice evening and night. I hope all went well them the past 24 hours.

Until the next time

Fall has made a showing - September begins

Greetings Readers

I was reading a blog that was posted just recently and in a nutshell this person describes the trip to the Post Office and an undelivered package. As most of you readers know most bloggers have a link to leave a comment on the author's blog post. So one blogger did and the person who left a comment did not leave a "favorable" comment, in the eyes of the blogger's author.

You know I am in the same boat as that blogger who did not leave a "favorable comment" on the author's blog. Yes, it is too bad that the author had to stand in line, excuse me lines, at the Post Office. The author works 40 hours a week, goes to church, does not get home until after midnight, etc. So what.

I enjoyed reading the blogger's article on the adventure of the the package's history and Post offices trips and and yes I could relate and I did smile, but by no means did I give any sympathy to the author.

I enjoyed "the excuse of sleeping until 12:30!" on a Saturday. Mind you the package in question is for a significant other's birthday. Now, what would be more important? Picking up a package (the birthday present) on Saturday morning since the Post Office is either open til noon or 1 PM for your significant other or sleep in for yourself? The blogger was not going to go to the Post Office during the week - "picking up a package on the weekday was out of the question"

I am not here to condone the actions of the author or the person who left the comment on the author's blog. The comment was not hateful - it was telling the truth. The author may need to re-read about the posting the author did on the Unites States Postal Service. The author must take responsibility for getting the package itself. For example, if this package held some money I bet that the author would make every effort to pick up that package. I sure in the fuck would.

In the author's defense, I too, like to go out occasionally after my 40 hour week, but if something needs to be done on a Saturday morning and it can only be in the morning then I say sorry I can not go out tonight. Perhaps tomorrow night or next week. If you readers think life should be in your favor, you are sadly mistaken. Life is not easy nor will ever be just the way "you" want it.

The truth does hurt and actually hearing it from someone you do not know should be a wake up call on how you present yourself to other people that you do not know.

The US Open has gotten really interesting the past two days. But also the mighty have fallen - Poor Safin, Hewitt, Henman, Dementieva & Santoro. Two standout matches as of today - Blake vs Santoro. Then, the Epic battle 4 hours 44 minutes Radek Stepanek vs Novak Djokovic. Yes, I was able to see the match when I got home from work yesterday. Boo yah! That is Djokovic pictured, but does not even support the match that I heard and watched yesterday against Stepanek. What fucking rallies.

Until the next time
